The carved holes at the sides would have been for small oil lamps so that the whole facade would be lit to give it splendour, the treasure for people isn't even riches , it's knowledge , therefore would may even have been a library of sorts. Ancient water levels were hugely different and important as they enabled a load of lost civilizations.

Petra is a reinhabitance of a pre flood culture. The 2 guys couldn't replicate a MINIATURE of the simplest design, even with power tools

Dried up of water was the main reason . (Pittra) abandoned towns and tooms ...Nabbatian nomadic kananian tribes ... masterminded people's utilizes rarely fall down raining 🌧 water ,underground waters, crossing desert roads safely. And remarkable pipeline networking in encint times. Nowadays, there is a Nabbatian Christian ✝️ Catholic dynastie(🙏❤️🕊🤍🙏) living in Enkawa/ Erbil...North Iraq ❤🇮🇶 ❤.....it was a great documentary

A series of earthquakes in the area over a couple of generations forced the people to move. Your vid shows why they finally chose to leave rather than rebuild. One presenter says Petra may have been Muhammad’s real birth place. Early kabas faced Petra and the surroundings sound like what he described.

This has been proven to be incorrect by many Muslim and non Muslim scholars and historians.

@@MillhouseSpeaks I enjoy looking at all sides and review many early off-shoot Christian developments, which lead to Petra, a center for trade routes and the Queresh. That location makes sense since that was Khadija's business as well. This was before Islam so would have been called 'pagan'. Provide links and I'll review them. I don't have a dog in this fight.
