Diesel for Torque ? Are you idiot. Petrol engine is more punchy always. They always tally 12k petrol with 13k diesel, that's why you feel like there is more torque. Actually it's not the torque; it's the narrow clutch connection which makes you feel diesel is more responsive. Diesel has a narrow window of operation. Petrol is the correct version of fuel. Diesel is jugadu fuel.

Petrol is good for 2 wheeler, if purchasing car go for diesel. It has 3 benifits 1. More milage 2. More torque 3. More reselling value. Maintenance cost is almost same for both cars. For long drive diesel can give you 30km/ ltr. If you drive in control speed.

for daily use or weekly 4 to 5 times take diesel.. atleast ( 30km min run daily).. If u use rare like 2 to 3 times a week and 10 to 15km (daily run) take petrol... and diesel is high maintenance and hi spare price.. but high performance... petrol is eco friendly also very low maintenance and spare also very less price... but very minimal low performance. beter go for petrol.. now a days petrol also good in average...

Honda City is giving more mileage than some Diesel cars especially after BS6 and it's very comfortable, reliable and powerful as well so if you need a Sedan close your eyes and go for City... Slavia maybe after waiting for an year or two.. City Hybrid is also coming so forget Diesel unless you are going for a heavy vehicle where Diesel makes more sense as extra torque will be helpful

Diesel cars are way much better than petrol cars in running. Nowadays People use to say that there is nt much difference btwn Petrol and Diesel price but still diesel cars have more mileage than petrol due to injector combustion engine. As most of the people already aware that diesel cars doesn't require spark plugs hence in running with AC or without diesel cars are better. But govt's decision of scapping cars in 10 years is one of the worst decision in the history of automobile industry.

Mota mota samjho 😅 Diesel - more mileage more torque more power high engine noise ,more service cost more pollution and life is around 10 yrs good for commercial use. Petrol - mileage less, power and torque is little bit less, service cost is less, very low engine noise pollution is less as compared to diesel, petrol car life is around 15 yrs and with quality maintenance it can 20 yrs. For private and personal use prefer petrol car .

This calculation totally ignores the fact that petrol and diesel prices are not gonna be the same after 6.2 years. The gap between the prices may narrow down or widen. Also, diesel engines have higher maintenance costs and higher depreciation (especially in Delhi where the life of Diesel cars is 10 years). And most importantly, what about the interest charges/opportunity costs? If you're spending 150k extra lumpsum today, you'd end up paying a lot more than that in reality after 6.2 years owing to the lost ROI potential or the extra interest charges. Hence, don't go for diesel cars for financial efficiency. Diesel is only good if you want the extra power, or if you have really high usage (kms) like cabs.

Now compare to seltos petrol vs diesel . Petrol cost 12.51 lkh and diesel cost 13.75 lkh . Its mean i m paying 1.25lkh extra . Petrol and diesel price almost same. But petrol gives millage 14-15 and diesel gives 20-22kmpl . So if my run is 500km per month so i spend fuel cost on petrol 3300 and diesel 2200 . May be you are right when i go for long term then i save . But people in india they spend money once that they dont care . They care about what they are paying regularly. As if i tell you one example . Mere papa k pass brezza hai aur bhai k pass creta diesel hai . Fir bhi papa bolte hai creta leke jauga kuki isme petrol 800-900 ka lagega . But dekhe to car ki value m bahot farak hai. So aap sochiye how indian think ?
