Why doesn't it make light?

I have a Aida 1500, which is made by Petromax and looks nearly identical. Mine has the “blowtorch” lighter to heat the generator. There is a parts rebuild kit available for these, under $40 US if I remember. Mine lights and burns brightly on kerosene only.

Nice job👍I do not think that is an original glass, because Petromax lamps used to come with one piece cylinder glass.Probably somebody broke the original.

In India this used to be common replacement for broken glasses, almost half the Petromax's I bought had this type of replacement

This lamp spare sparts is available??? Please tell me

There are spare parts available from the original manufacturer. From Tank to top cover and everything in between. Petromax is still around and they still make and sell this lamp. If you have an old one you consider getting back to working order: Get the maintenance kit. It has all of the seals and O-rings you need, a graphite pack, leather patch for the pump, plus a fresh clay burner, a spare needle and a few mantles. Just to be sure, I personally would also swap out the pump valve. Or at least give it a really thorough cleaning. There are two upgrades I suggest: A steel burner (less prone to cracking than the clay one) and a preheating dish. The latter is providing a more gentle (albeit slower) way of preheating the carburettor that is easier on the mantle.
