Petrosian WAS a Python. That book got it right. He is not fancy or flashy. He doesn't kill you with a lightning bolt like Fischer. He plays solid precise chess, just cuddles up to you and the next thing you know you are strangled. 😮

Beautiful game and great analysis. It makes me appreciate all the more Fischer's defeat of Petrosian on his way to the world championship. Petrosian was truly a brilliant player.

At 5:34 what Petrosian is doing is threatening to skewer the queen. That's why Platz blocked the bishop with the knight
