More likely he was scared because he assumed people were predators. A kitten like that would find it difficult to scavenge food in a built up environment, he probably just lost his mother and couldn't find her again.

Such a cute little love bug! He is so happy you found him! We can still say he has given up on finding food, but just for a different, and very good reason, he doesn't have to find it, it just appears in the silver bowl whenever he is hungry, and he already knows no one is going to come and steal it from him! It was the same for my "Petit Coeur", when I found him in the street on 25 july 1999, he was very small and thiny, black and white , with only skin and bones, very very thirsty and hungry, with only one day or two of life...I transported him at home on my bicycle, and he was very afraid and put him with my two other cats, and very quickly he got a very deep bond and slept with them in the same cat bed. With them and my mum and me, Petit Coeur had a long life, 18 years, full of love. He died in my arms on 14 january 2O18.
