When the PetSafe® Indoor Bark Control is within range of a barking dog, an internal microphone picks up the sound. The unit automatically emits an ultrasonic tone that can be heard by dogs but is silent to most humans. Startled by the high-pitched tone, the dog should stop barking. In time it will associate its bark with this unpleasant noise. When the dog stops barking, the ultrasonic tone also stops. It is effective up to 8 metres. Use 1 unit for 1 room or 2 units for multi-room coverage.

When the Outdoor Bark Control is within range of a barking dog, an internal microphone picks up the sound and the unit is automatically activated. The PetSafe® Outdoor Bark Control emits an ultrasonic sound. The ultrasonic sound can be heard by dogs but is silent to humans. Startled by the high-pitched sound that is safe and effective, the dog should stop barking, as it will associate its bark with this unpleasant noise. When the dog stops barking the ultrasonic sound also stops. The PetSafe® Outdoor Bark Control has 3 range levels and a test mode. It is effective up to 15 metres.

6 dogs here! Purchased this itam this evening and the battery (sold separately) Furry kids bark everytime the doorbell rings, when someone knocks, everytime you enter the home. I get it they are excited and eagerly awaiting our arrival. I get that they are greeting me. But 6 dogs barking at the same time gets loud. Imagine 15 people entering my home within 10 minutes of eachother... Shoot they even bark when they hear our truck and cars being parked. I love my furry kids. I would never get rid of them. If I didn't have neighbors I honestly wouldn't care. So fare so good. Only 2 of my 6 continue barking but even they don't bark for as long as they used to. So from me and my family humans and furry kids Thank you.

Thanks Amirek, we also have the Ultralight™ Sonic Bark Control Collar (see the video on our channel). This collar provides audible stimulation to help deter unwanted barking, being on the collar & closer to the dog, this might help. I get the purpose of it to stop the dog from barking. But what if the dog needs to bark because of someone is on your property or protection? Will this deter the dog from protecting the family.

Hi Kelly, Thanks for your question. There are definitely times when we want our dogs to bark but since the product is designed to deter barking, it would be activated at all times that it is in range and switched on. Whether a dog would continue to bark (despite the annoyance of the ultrasonic tone) and in the presence of an intruder for instance, would be individual to each dog. Thanks, PetSafeUK
