I remember some young guy I met in the '70s and he unexpectedly said, with mournful beagle eyes: "Honey, it's all downhill for a gay man after 30." I am your age, Neil, and i wouldn't have missed my forties, fifties, and sixties for anything! As with most of your albums I am flipping all over as to which cuts I love most on "Nonetheless".. "Feel" has mesmerizing chord progressions, "Bullet for Narcissus" takes me back to my house music nights on the dance floor, and I too am looking for "My New Bohemia", but it's "Why Am I Dancing?" that is most magical and hits me right where I live. There are many things I could thank you for as your albums helped get me through the AIDS nightmare, but what I am most thankful for is that neither you nor Chris became music industry clichés nor did you glamorize drug use. No being "At Rock Bottom" for you two! That too is part of your legacy, so dance on! BRAVISSIMO!!

I remember when I first bought my first PSB CD which was packaged in a rather long rectangular box in 1987. It was for the album Actually as I borrowed my sibling's cassette of Please. I remember writing Neil age 33 (along with Chris 27). Although I met Neil (and Chris) only 4 times and listened to his voice for 37-plus years I hold him with the highest regard. Same with Mr. Lowe. They made the world a much more interesting place to live in.

I search for other bands about it, but ... no one else received it! You are unique! I have the opportunity to see your great concert, in Punta del Este, Uruguay in 2014 - Electric tour-! I suggested the song "Inside a Dream" - which I liked very much -, for me it deserved to be sung on the concert, ... and it happened! So thank you very much! I like new album Nonetheless very much! I remember the first time I heard this voice on the radio - it was "Go west," around 2000, and I was like 12 years old? I wondered, how can someone sound like that? It was the voice of a little boy! "Go west" was my favorite song until I got older - then I fell in love with the style of "Oppurtunites". Then I finally learned the name of your band and discovered "Rent." My friend lent me PopArt (his father is also a fan) and there was "Can you forgive her?". I flawlessly recognized your voice when a new song came on the radio - it was _unmistakable_. Not a moment later and half of my life revolved around you, although I never even had a poster. Your songs have accompanied me everywhere, but it wasn't just about the music anymore - I was also impressed by what nice people you are. Once when I needed a name for a unique magical character, I chose "Neil". In 2013 I went to your concert for the first time and was surprised to discover that I also liked your new songs - "Thursday" and "A Face like That" I sang to myself loooong after the concert. Phenomenon, because most artists don't convince me with their newer style - with you I always had 90% "compatibility". A week ago I was at your concert in Warsaw and I was making heart from my fingers for you ❤️ It's hard to be just some girl when you want to thank a famous person for so many things, but at least I happened to live in the same time period as you, which I'm sure next generations will envy. I wish you more than 100 years, happiness and a circle of loyal friends! You and Chris are one in a million, never forget that! 💎
