It’s a year later so let me fill you in 🥰 Soooo actually NO, you don’t know if he is possessed! First time watchers of this film after they followed the first film. The ENTIRE PLOT OF THE FILM is that you don’t know as a viewer if he is actually Josh or possessed as he clearly tries tricking his wife in the beginning… You don’t actually find out he was REALLY possessed until later in the film, which is amazing because it leaves the viewers wondering and on their seat. I hope this helps they clearly don’t know bc this was both of their first time watch

@care_hopexo I can't say that it was ever a question in my mind if he was possessed or not . They clearly telegraphed it in the end of the first movie It isn't a twist if they've already told you the twist . I don't know if you guys can't pick up on information in films or something . The picture taken of josh in the end of the first movie clearly shows the bride in black and not josh . Aka josh has been possessed by the bride . It's very clearly shown to you . They weren't originally plans for a sequel , so it's not like they set it up with a future twist in mind .

The parents/family thematics seem central to that franchise, and I really love how it's being dealt with. But I felt really sad for Parker Crane ; I do feel like he is a victim himself, turned 'evil' because of what his mother did to him. Of course it doesn't excuse killing people, but the backstory behind his character gives him a more tragic aspect, and I'm all for it ♥

I just listened to audiobook narrated by Patrick Wilson!! The Ruins by Scott Smith. Its a survival horror and a fun read. I was shocked to see it was him narrating it, part of the reason I chose that book.
