Hi, i have issues with my 308 from 2012. The climate control panel shutting on and off randomly... mostly being off, this also shut ups the entire climate control, ac fans and everything. Any idea why? could this be a BSI problem

What are the indications for doint he BSI reset? I removed the fap filter, and the mechanic did something with the software, so do you know will i have any problems if i do the bsi reset on my peugeot 407? (my display is going crazy right now, it restarts every few seconds, have some warnings that not exist any more etc.)

No problem at all This procedure is for reset the BSI and it does nothing to the ECU wich is were the mecanic made the changes for the FAP or DPF

Why do you say you turn on the sidelights when instead you use the turning indicators?

Probably because he misinterpreted it, logically sidelights should be indicators since they are indicating turning "side" and flashing on "side" of a vehicle, it's not logical to call headlights "sidelights".

Peugeot beeper uses Fiat Qubo electronics its not actually a citroen based car... if your mileage is flashing you need to do the (proxy alignment) with a diagnostic tool... Many tools do this these days.

Does this work for Peugeot 208 1.5 2013? My car shows engine error message, fuel injection light is on, and enfine fan is on all the time, car does not pass 1500-2000rpm, I changed the spark plug set, cleaned the fuel tank because I thought it was on bad fuel (here in Brazil fuel sucks), do you have any idea what it could be?

My friend you should plug your car to a diag machine, this procedure ia for BSI reset but you are describing other issues.

This could be oil filter. This “light grey cube” is mounted top left side of your front hood.

Thanks for watching. I am afraid not my friend The oem parking sensors work via the factory radio...however you can fit a android radio with a CAN decoder especific for Peugeot and the parking sensors will work again. It all depends on what kind of stereo you fitted.

No iam afraid not my friend. Throttle is controlled by ECU and not BSI. You need a diagnostic tool for that.

Hi, I have a 2008 Peugeot 207 SW 1.6 HDI. While using a OBD2 to connect to the ECU, the app says it cannot connect to the ECU. Would a BSI reset fix this, or could it fix it? I have no errors on the on-board computer, nor any warning lights on. Good video, by the way.

Thanks for watching. There are plenty of obd adapters that are not compatible with the communication protocol of Peugeot and Citroen cars because these use Kline, CAN and VAN protocols...so the BSI reset would not solve this, you should try another obd machine and i am sure it will work. Good luck

Hello, I have changed the battery on my 3008 as it wasn't keeping charge. I followed the instructions in the manual for completing this. I have now come to start the car and it won't. There are error messages of brake failure, parking brake failure, it won't turn over and mileage showing at 0000. Help needed please. Thanks.

Do you have a diagnostic computer to read the codes. Are all the fuses good...next to the battery there are a couple of big fuses are those ok? That should not happen...only if you swap the poles in the battery or there a spike in current or something like that. This procedure is used almost every day by me and always works perfect.

Marco o que ele diz é ligares a ingnição durante 3 minutos e não mexes em nada,depois pedes alguem para desligar o borno da bateria durante 15segundos, voltas a conectar e esperas 10segundos.Passado esses 10 segundos ligas o pisca do carro para a esquerda e ligas a ignição .Esta feito o reset.

Actually you do not need a helper: with the battery on open driver's window -> remove the key -> exit the car -> close the door -> disconnect/reconnect the battery with the delay -> turn the lights on through the driver's window without opening the door -> ingnition on/off -> open the door and open/close the car with the remote control -> start he car. Its better to use the main (large) key, not the small one.

Sorry, have no idea. I guess not. since it has to be kept in the ignition switch. I assume you will need the official software to reset.

The reason in this case was that we removed the semi/automatic gear box to replace the clutch and then the alternator wasnt charging after all the plugs were reconnected, after the reset everything worked as it should... In PSA cars (peugeot and citroen) sometimes the BSI starts to throw ramdom electrical faults or bugs and usually this reset solves these bugs.

Batery light was on when it was supposed to. The baterry light was off when it was supposed to... jeez

the batery was not supposed to be on with the engine running, and this case it was. after the reset all was good, it was on when it supposed to.

The problem is, why does car need it? The root cause is important. Why didn't you pull right window all the way down?

He did it with 2 people if you are alone pull front window down because all tgat is important to you is that you dont wake up the bsi by opening the doors. Thats so you can be outside the car and do everything thru window.

The problem was that we replaced the clutch is this car that uses one of those crazy robot manual gear boxes that peugeot calls automatic and we had to disconnect several components and also the battery in order to get to it. After all was assembled the car was showing the battery light in cluster and was not charging the battery. After this all was just fine.

@@samuelibrahimovic8508 well, lets just say that i would never buy a car with this type of gear box and clutch, first because it doesnt feel right driving and also because of its reliabillity, its similar to a regular manual clutch but it works overtime and it causes premature wear.
