One of my favourite castles. Thanks for showing. We spent the day in Castleton on Saturday and enjoyed the walk up to Mam Tor and the Great Ridge.

A great castle to visit not the biggest but still worth a visit,I did many years ago. By the way you mentioned a free work out climbing up ,try Beeston castle in Cheshire the views from the top are worth the climb. Thanks for the video🥰

You know you've got your castle in a good/likely spot when there's a major hillfort a mile and a half in one direction and a Roman fort 2 miles in the other. Plus it's a crossroads for old routes north/south and east/west over the Pennines.

You missed the gardrobe, still intact and by the smell sometimes still used! No fireplaces but maybe braziers were used or how about a central fireplace, chimney missing of course. Peveril is one of my favorites. Thanks for your work.

Greetings from the Pacific North West of the USA. When I visited Britain for the first time I staying Bollington England and this was the first European castle I ever laid eyes on. You are spot on about it being situated in a beautiful location. Castleton is a gorgeous village and Pervil Castle is indeed in a great spot for defense. One thing I'd also point out is that there is also some pretty neat cave structures in that area. I know it's not a castle but I wonder if it had a sort of natural usefulness in defense back in medieval England.

G'day from Australia. Thanks for the vid. I visited Peveril back in 2011 and thought it was a great little castle indeed. Though my visit was overshadowed by my first painful encounter with stinging nettles haha.

This was the first castle stop on my 24 castles trip around Wales in May.Had second breakfast in the hotel at the bottom before my walk to the top,not the best of ideas as it is a steep climb.

I like that you mentioned the ghosts in this one. My guess is that most if not all the castles have a ghost story or two, it would be great if you included them like you have here!
