This is another Jason Licht classic. Because he is the worst GM in the NFL he did not sign any edge rusher in free agency. So he goes into the draft in the overreaching mindset because he cannot sign a free agent to save his life. So instead of using our second round pick to get a top level WR, specially when you know that Godwin was entering his last year of contract, Jason Licht decides to use a second round pick on a mediocre rotational level Braswell. We got a mediocre rotational piece and we went to the 3rd round to draft an injury prone WR3 of the Washington team. Jason Licht needs to learn that the best way to draft is getting best player available. When best player available meets team needs, than is even better. Our second round pick should have been Javon Bullard if not drafting a WR was an option. If we needed a WR, Jermaine Burton should have been picked on second round, Tykee Smith could have been picked later in the draft. Our Carlton Davis trade pick should have been McCormick or a CB.

Time to cut ties with Bowles as a head coach. When you include his time with the Jets, 4 of his last 5 seasons he was under .500. The one winning season last year was 9-8. This year things are going the wrong direction with 4 straight losses, and another potential losing season. Overall he's 47-64. The guy isn't head coaching material.

Why was Bucky not in the game in the 4th Q. Especially the last drive. Going into the turtle offense in the last drive was so frustrating to watch. Is this Cohen suddenly getting conservative or is this Bowles stepping in. MCL can be mild or severe this looks to be the latter. Grade 3 can require surgery and can take 6-8 weeks recovery. Hopefully Scott is correct and it’s only a 3-4 week recovery.

It's harder to watch every week. Now every time I turn on the tv, I look forward to either 1) a blowout or 2) a close game sealed with a game ending defensive meltdown. It's happened too many times to expect anything else. I don't want to hear about injuries, this is just what the team is now. and the people in charge will have to answer

Todd Bowles it has to be evaluate in 2 different areas. As a Head Coach and Defense Coordinator. As a defensive coordinator his defense has been plague with injuries. Also many players expected to take their step towards a better season they're under performing. He is putting a game plan and calling the defensive plays, but the reality this season the Bucs are realizing the talent they thought they had is been out played and over run. They can't defend or hold a lead if there lifes depend on it. They may be able to do some player rotation and adjustments, but I don't think they have the defense help them make it to the playoffs. Todd Bowles as head coach help last season to keep the team and players cohesiveness under control during there losing streaks. Players came out after the team bye week playing at different level. This demonstrates he has the players and coaches support. However, he has kept making costly game decisions which undermine his other skill or traits. Base on his record since taking over as head coach he will probably be in the hot seat as head coach. However, to maintain the offensive progress and great performance this team has demonstrated if the Bucs chose to depart from Todd Bowles then Lian Coen must be made the new head coach because I will hate to see the Bucs and Baker going to the process of a new offensive coordinator again next season. Go Bucs!

Yall covered Tucker, but I dont get them not throwing Palmer a quick wide receiver screen or an end around. He looks great at the end of the Chiefs game and is the only Receiver right now with any breakaway speed. Struggling for completions, why not scheme of a couple easy ones just swinging out to him real quick and see if he can make one guy miss and use that speed?? Coen is an upgrade for sure, bur one thing I miss from Canales: he threw a lot of those quick hitter screens to Godwin and Palmer. And if we are throwing the ball so quickly and short anyways, we may as well make sure our guys get the ball and see if they can do something with it🤷 And as good as Cohen has been the most part he has had a few rough end of game play calling sequences. Detroit, 1st Falcons and now today Tom Rinaldi made a big deal about Baker's toe in the first half. And he had some Great Escapes in scrambles but it seemed like he didn't make, or really try to make, any key plays with his legs like he usually does.

I believe at this point, some of our stars on defense are getting fed up with the coaching. It just doesn't seem like they're even trying sometimes. I honestly don't blame them when they're seeing teammates drop to injuries left and right. They also know they're going to lose every game where a fading offense can't overcome a horribly coached, over complicated defense.

A Licht story: Underperform with 6 years of drafting really high. Save your job by promising Arians will fix Jameis. Narrator: Arians did not fix Jameis. I just don't get the Palmer thing: he had a great last drive against the Chiefs. Yet today he gets one ball? I mean if he's not getting open: maybe you should run him and his speed on the end around instead of old man Shepherd? Or maybe get him a couple wide receiver screens, to see if he can beat one guy and then bust one up field? He is the only guy with breakaway speed they have left at WR, find a way to get him 2 or 3 chances a game. Same with Tucker.

I definitely think Coen is an upgrade over canales, but that is one play I miss from Canales. Dave loved that quick hitter wide receiver screen to Godwin or Palmer or Tompkins a couple times a game, just to get the guys that have speed and good running out on the edge with only one guy to beat. And if you can't run around and get open, then you havw got to give the guys the ball some other way! Palmer should get an end around once a game: over shepard abd mcmillan with his speed Even though Worthy did not come through: the Chiefs at least gave him a home run ball and a reverse to try to take advantage of his speed on MNF

Liam Coen choked in a horrible way. He cannot close games and put in on ice. The narrative that Bowle’s defense could not make the stop is quiet disingenuous. If Liam Coen did not choke 5 yards away from the inzone the 49ers would need a touch down on their last drive. Which is the same situation as we had in the first game against the Falcons. We had 2 opportunities to ice the game , Lavonte David made a huge interception and Liam Coen was unable to get a first down to win the game.We have problems on both sides of the ball and the main reason is because we have a very limited roster and the biggest holes happen to be on the defensive side of the ball. I think Liam Coen still have a lot to learn to be a top level OC and therefore it is premature and ridiculous to suggest that he should be our HC. We need Jason Licht to stop screwing up our premium draft picks, to sign players in positions of needs during free agency and manage the re-signings in a better way. We all knew Wirfs wanted to resign. If he had resigned Wirfs very early in offseason we would have the money available to make the signings while the best players were available. By not resigning Wirfs right away we did not have the money when the best free agents were available and Wirf’s deal got more expensive because we had to top Sewell’s contract. Bad planning.
