Thank you so very much for teaching how to do the even peyote bead stitch with large pony beads and yarn! It is so much easier for handicapped me to see how this is accomplished. After years of doing one stranded bead strung jewelry, I am finally wanting to practice loom beading (which is fairly easy), and to learn this basic peyote stitch! Your video tutorial is so clear and I like that it is not rushed or too fast to catch onto! I am so grateful that you teach this for free--particularly since I am on a limited budget! I cannot say enough how much your tutorial has helped me finally to succeed at doing the peyote stitch! I hope you are well, and hope you will have an awesome Summer and Autumn 2021 !!! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!!!

I am so glad I found your video! All the others I couldn't see exactly which bead people were going through because the beads were too small or the people's nails were in the way. Now I get it and I get how to step up for the next row. Your a genius for using the large beads, thank you so much!

I taught my classes in Fountain Co. This exact same way, back in 1992. I still have the master copies I used and handed copies to my students. Easy to learn even and uneven numbered beads this way. Excellent tutorial!😉

Keeping that tail is a great idea, I have been beading for 40 years or so, I was taught different, from my auntie, during the 1970s , old native way, but it’s very different and hard. I’m going to give this a try on my sons eagle feather, he wants it for his car. Thank you for your post.

this is an amazing video! This is my 1st time beading and I'm trying to bead a lighter using seed beads. I watched a couple other video before yours and couldn't figure beading out. When I found yours I was beading right along with you. I got half way thru my lighter an that's where the problems started. The knots were too big and not staying tied when pulled on.

Thanks for making "even peyote stitch" look so simple. The use of the pony beads really allows one a superb view regarding stitch & pattern & informing your viewers the importance of the need for the tail was great. @ 8:36 you identified the space as a "valley", I have also heard it described as "a stitch in a ditch" which I thought was a very cute way to describe filling in any "valley" or after "stepping up" finishing that easy third row. Also, I was taught that if I'm using 11/0 beads you need to go down a needle size e.g, size 10 bead needle preferably short not long & so on, any thoughts on that rule of thumb? Again thanks for making this look so easy & fun!
@landoonblktng57306 жыл бұрын
Isnt it the higher the size, the smaller the needle? I heard if you use size 11/0.. You use size 12 bead needle?? Lol Im still learning.

The one VERY helpful tip I got was right at the beginning. I was watching these videos, wondering how the beaders were able to make such large, elaborate pieces of work with one piece of short thread. Then you put in the little quip "you can tie another piece of string on as you go". That was probably the most important part of the video for me. Thank you!
