Great teams and game day performances, but your defense can make plays and shutdown teams easier if you know the unique formations and plays the opposing team plans on using. Especially if it is something they have never shown on tape. Recording a practice is a HUGE advantage.

I give the Patriots a pass because everyone cheats, just not everyone gets caught right away. But even if you don't believe that, even when you take out the cheating they have been massively successful. Deflate Gate in particular though I don't buy into. A deflated ball has nothing to do with the Patients Defense which Rob would happily tell you was the key to all those Super Bowl runs. The deflated ball didn't make any difference. Hell, in that game it was called out in, they swapped the balls at the half and then the Patriots went on to blow them out in the 2nd half and then win two more games en route to a SB. I'm not saying the cheating is OK but I don't think it was a huge contributing factor in the overall success of a 20 YEAR DYNASTY.
