Pfaff 1473 CD Evaluation and repair

Your video is awesome! I have a 1475 CD that I purchased in about 1992. It runs perfectly and sews like a champ. I had no idea that it had batteries! I immediately checked my machine. The batteries have never been changed! The looked fine but I removed them to check their health. The read on the batteries was 4.1, typically a new battery will read 4.2. Now that I know about the batteries, I will check them annually. Also, my machine has made in West Germany on the front, and I bought it brand new from a dealer in 1992. I can use all of the functions on the machine since I still have a Windows 95 computer and all the Pfaff software. Thank you for posting your very informative video. ❤

I have a Pfaff 1475 CD, the display stops working after about 15 minutes. The machine continues to work OK. If left off for some time and turned on the screen will start to work again for about 15 minutes. I read on the net that electrolytic capacitors can cause this problem. I have changed all the electrolytic capacitors and still the same. Any idea as to what the problem would be?

1473 foot unit does not drop down tight to dogs. Like sewing free motion..not a close grip. Everything else works, suggestions.?

I have Pfaff with a worn foot pedal. The speed control uses a ceramic block with a winding and the wires are worn and broken. Do you have a method to suggest regarding a rewind with new wire?

Wonderful video! The exterior of Pfaff 1471, 1473 CD and Pfaff 1475 sewing machine models are similar. Are the parts of these models similar too, particularly the hook assembly? Thank you.

I have a Pfaff 7570. My workhorse. Can it be adjusted to sew a Serpentine stitch. Wish you were close to our area. Great speaker.

I have this same Pfaff 1473 CD. I was taking the ankle off to put on a generic foot and when I tried to screw the ankle back in place it wouldn't screw straight. It was going at an angle and wouldn't completely screw in. My husband looked at it and said the screw was stripped. So my question to you is what screw do I need? And would I need the vertical part that the ankle screws into? I don't don't the name of that part. Do you sell these items? Or can you give me the part numbers and where I could buy the screw and other part if I need it? Thank you.

Bummer you moved from New Holland (which is only an hour from me) to 2 1/2 hours away from me. I have the 1473 CD needs a bobbin winder clutch ... it won't release, so I either had to remove the needled from the housing to wind bobbin, or buy a bobbin winder (didn't want to put that much stress on the machine when it wasn't actually sewing, so I went with the bobbin winder) Bobbin winder is a terrible replacement to the actual machine doing it. Do you have the part. I'm willing to make the drive if that's a possibility.

I have the creative 1476cd machine, the pfaff atk0033 control foot. The control foot stopped working and I went in and tried to see if it needed to be cleaned. Now we don't know where the copper bent wire goes. Anyone able to help? there is one copper piece that I can't remember where it goes. WE FOUND IT!

I have a Pfaff 1475 cd. When I turn it on, the light over the pressure foot comes on but the lights on the control panel does not come on right away. It takes about 30 minutes before the control panel display comes on and it won't sew until those lights come on. What can be the problem.

I had the same problem with my 1475 several years ago and I would heat it up with a hair dryer to speed it up to turn on fully. An engineer friend of mine finally took it apart and replaced 3 capacitors on the mother board and it has worked ever since! Cost me about $18.00 for the parts and a hug. Other friends got charged $500 plus to get a refurbished motherboard and months of waiting!
