Thank-you very much for this review, and your very honestly opinion and suggestions. It sounds like the GHC keyboard is a strong and nice improvement. Let's also hope that these very little noisy keys will stay little noisy months after months and years after years, which is unfortunately the weak point of my P-125.

Obrigado Mestre Masataka Kono pela excelente explicação! Seu vídeo chegou ao Brasil 👏👏👏 Peço que fixe meu primeiro comentário Brasileiro 😊😂
In a mix you will absolutely not hear VRM especially in this light version. It’s similar to how on the Yamaha Montage series, if you isolate the part element that produces the key off sample, it’s a very subtle sound that is so brief and low volume you probably wouldn’t notice if it was muted. VRM should simulate the resonance throughout the chassis that can be heard when notes are released especially noticeable in the C1-C2 registers. It can also be very much heard when you press and hold the damper pedal while releasing a string of harmonizing notes. The beautiful resonance that can be heard in that decay is honestly one of the biggest things that separates digital pianos from acoustic pianos and breaks the immersion for me in digitals with less robust modeling.

Your comment is very helpful ☺ Thank you.☺👍✨ I wish Yamaha had an explanation like yours 🎹
@dwsel Жыл бұрын
I think the difference between 225's VRM on vs 125's default piano settings is that 125 uses the reverb to simulate the space and VRM in 225 is either like a tuned reverb (tuned to what you're playing) or some additional layers of samples triggered dynamically according to what you play as well. When you turn it off you get very dry piano sample compared to default 125. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
@pf_masa Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I don't understand how the VRM function works, as Yamaha has provided only limited commentary information. Therefore, as I said in the video, I asked Yamaha to make an explanation video. By the way, before I played, the P-125 and P-225 were factory reset, and I introduced the On/Off of the P-225's VRM function by comparing the GrandPiano's default settings. I think the important thing is what has changed with the P-225.

I really liked your review. Can I ask a question? For someone who wants to become a professional pianist, is the Yamaha P225 enough? Or should i invest more money to buy a higher model like Yamaha P525 or CP88?
@pf_masa Жыл бұрын
I'm happy to hear your message♪ I will answer your questions honestly. I think the most important thing for people who want to become a professional pianist is an acoustic grand piano. I think it is difficult to practice and master the technique with any digital piano. However, if the purpose is to study songs, I think it is meaningful to use an electronic piano. The type of digital piano you choose will depend on your purpose. If I wanted to play in the quiet of the night, I think the P225 would be a good choice. Depending on your preference for the type of keyboard and sound, you may also choose the P525 or CP88. thank you!☺

@@pf_masa Thank you for answering me. Finally, I would like to ask another question because in my area there are no digital pianos to try. I like to just play the piano. I would like to ask another question: Are the keybeds of the P225 and CP88 very different for the money to pay more?
@pf_masa Жыл бұрын
@@firstlike5438 The key actions (key beds) of the P225 and CP88 are quite different. I like the keybed on the P225, which has less impact on the fingers. I also like the CP88's key action because it feels very comfortable to play. I sincerely hope that you choose a piano that will satisfy you☺
Great demo! Any comment on the relative weight of the black keys versus the white keys? Is it difficult to play the black keys close to the fall-board? Sometimes with a more compact design the black keys become harder to play so it’s difficult to play smoothly across black and white keys.
@pf_masa Жыл бұрын
thank you! I didn't notice the relative weight of the black and white keys while playing. I can play without worrying about the back of the keyboard. As you said, I was worried about the new GHC keyboard that the compact design would make it difficult to play the black keys (as well as the white keys), but I didn't need to worry about that.☺

Mr. Masataka, potrebbe essere il mio prossimo pianoforte. Prima di decidere mi piacerebbe confrontarlo con Casio px s1100. Thank you! The P-121 and P-125a used in this video are almost the same. The difference is the number of keys (73 keys vs. 88 keys) and the fact that the USB TO HOST terminal of the P-125a is set to "transmit and receive only MIDI information excluding audio signals" ☺

Thank you for your review. Just left the local music store and decided not to upgrade to the 225 from the P-95. played it for 20 minutes and absolutely hated the sound. The sound from my Yamaha P 95 has a richer more realistic tone (in my opinion). Just not what I expected from a keyboard 13 years newer than the P 95.

@@pf_masa I truly appreciate your review and of course the piano playing!
It would have been very interesting to check the static weight needed to move C4 and perhaps C2 and C7. Yamaha P-125A requires ~50g for C4. I very much prefer to have light action (Yamaha C7 that play often also has light action). Anything close to 60g for C4 is too much for me (I sold P515 because NWX started to damage my finger joints). Thank you, Michael

Thanks for the helpful information! 60g is heavy! I think it would be good if the keys on an electronic piano could be played a little more smoothly🎹☺

This time, I did not include an explanatory video because I compared it with P121, but P125 "a" and P225 As for the difference, your comment is correct.☺
Would you buy the Yamaha P 225 or the Roland 30px?
@pf_masaАй бұрын
Thank you for your question. I already bought the P-225 and I really like it. I often use it as a MIDI keyboard for piano-related software sound sources on my PC. On the other hand, I rented the FP-30X for about three months. How does the 220 compare to the DGX-670 in terms of sound quality? I'm disappointed with the over complexity of the DGX. However the DGX can transmit and receive both MIDI and Audio through a single USB cable.
@pf_masa Жыл бұрын
The DGX-670 is not available in Japan, and I haven't played it, so I cannot answer your questions. However, I think it's difficult to use instruments that are too complex♪ Additionally, the P-225 can also send and receive both audio and MIDI via USB♪
The P-225 does not have a tone name called "CFX". The sound source in the manual says "Piano sound: Yamaha CFX sampling". Just a guess, the first tone "GrandPiano" is probably CFX sample. Other sounds: "LiveGrand", "Ballad Grand", "Bright Grand" also processed I think it's a CFX sample. The above four piano sound demo performances of mine are posted below.Thank you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHXPf5afp95qm7s
