Mike, if you go straight to 20 games, don't you sacrifice future leverage as far as negotiating points from 17 t 18, 18 to 19, 19 to 20?

It's a negotiating tactic that could work, or could backfire, the idea being that you offer up something unexpected but desired and ask for more than you think you would get through incremental negotiations.

Florio, you said that the NFLPA should not propose a change to off-season structure, and instead wait until the NFL makes a proposal, then call it a compromise. You said it's a weak bargaining position for the NFLPA to be the party bringing a proposal. The same is true if they say, forget 18 let's go to 20. The NFL will think, "oh the players are fine with 18, so we don't need to meet any of their wants." NFLPA needs to make their demands for 18, then figure out what other concessions they can get when the owners say they want 20.

Money not an issue if a new candidiate appears. Money returned and sent back in new person's name. Easy solution. Plus small donors are a big piece in today's campaign. Big money would pour in from rich supporters. Lowest bar to solve in new regime. Biggest bar selecting a pool of candidates, perhaps, using rank-choice voting. Voters pick their top 3-4 candidates and pair down as you go along each stage. The 200 Democratic party officals would need to provide the choices and do voting. Think this would generate a lot of attention in all media and keep the focus on the Democratic plank. Convention becomes the new "The Apprentice" Show. Teasing viewers to come back each day. Ironic? Dems could say we do it better and had higher ratings than you ever did, Mr. Trump.

Do not promote ultimate team. If you want to do a real story, you should cover how EA sports is exploiting its customer through in game purchases. Ultimate Team is a tool devised for EA to be able to rake in millions of additional profits as players continue to pour money into the game to overcome poor gameplay exploits. EA Sports should lose their licenses, athletes should invest in a studio and develop their own game.
