Major Ji . It is speculated that the air crafts took off from iraqi air bases to avoid mid air refueling , correct me please . And even if as you say the mid air refueling took place . Long-term US is looking for a regime change in Iran plus Short-term Nov 5 elections in US. US does not want to rock the boat at this juncture, as it will have impact on US elections as well as global economy, security. Hence the restraint by all parties - US, Israel. Iran is using this to do face-saving. So it is win all situation. It looks like a match fixing, but essentially each party is optimising their domestic and international strategic outcomes subject to constraints. Constraints are dynamic. So future is still uncertain. Good analysis by Lt Gen Ravi Shankar and Sree Iyer ji.
