Francois Gautier's description of the administrative chaos in Puducherry is very alarming. Essentially the bureaucrat is out to ransack and cause havoc to the vrry core and the soul of Puducherry purely out of her whims and fancies. But, what was not clear is since how long has the tyrant bureaucrat been stirring up this storm in Puducherry. However, it seemed to sound that this has been going on for some time now, as Francois Gautier's dejection of not getting audience of the PM and HM seems to convey that, that it's been a long wait and has reached a precipitating point, while the bureaucrat is continuing unabated going in 'chucking her attitude' upon the age old followers of Sri Aurobindo. Clearly, the delay from the PMO and the HM to arrest and stop this tyranny is a matter of deep concern. Pray that this open mesaage of Francois Gautier through PGurus is able to create the desired impact and that the clouds of bureaucracy are well cleared within 150th year Sri Aurobindo's birth anniversary and it's celebrations.

Auroville's original gurus were aiming for an spiritual city of about 50,000 souls strong from all continents on Indian soil to have an effect on World scale even before 1968. If you don't know anything of what is going on in Auroville, and have only heard the completely false claims from vindictive crooks like this François, yes, then you can only think what you write. But it has no relation to the reality of Auroville. The Secretary has been extraordinary gracious and patient, being fully open to collaborate with literally everybody here. The way François and his gang of profiteers have treated her is so low, that if you care to watch the videos you will see for yourself: no respect whatsoever, exactly like the colonials of the olden days, only disdain and arrogance. They feel they are king in their kingdom, and have nothing but contempt for anybody that tries to inform them that that is not the reality. I think you are only pointing one side of the picture. Aurovvile needs development. The ordinary aurovillians are paying the price for the idealism of a few aurovillians. The DM is doing a good job. A 3 month extension is long enough for a person to renew his visa. It also gets really dark at night without the lights working properly. And some places have pot holes that needs fixing too.

To be fair, the side, which support the government secretary, needs also to be heard. Auroville has a history of acrimonious fights between groups. In 1982, I happened to be in the midst of one. One group wanted the government to come in, the other group wanted a compromise with the Sri Aurobindo Society. The first group got its way. Is the main complaint about felling trees or is it about expanding the “city”? The question remains, why even after over 50 years of its existence, only 4000 people live in the “city of the future” which was planned for 50,000.

Nothing can be farther from the Truth than your claim that plans to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Sri Aurobindo's birthday in Auroville are going haywire due to Babudom. The Governing Board and the Secretary of Auroville have been making efforts to organize programs befitting the occasion but no initiative or cooperation was forthcoming from the official groups and individuals aligned with the dominant group of residents in Auroville consisting mainly of Western origin Auroville residents numbering several hundred. They won't because they have been on the warpath against the Governing Board since it decided to start the city development, which had been blocked for decades, late last year. In a recent meeting with the residents, the Secretary was questioned if the impetus given to the city development was due to Sri Aurobindo's 150th birth anniversary. That was the most telling public expression of the mindset of the dominant group which Francois Gautier is supporting. It means this: If we can't continue Auroville as a village inside a forest we don't want any celebration of Sri Aurobindo's anniversary. This should clear any notion you may have of this group's respect or love for Sri Aurobindo.

This is a huge simplification and a very divisive talking. There has been some resistance to development but not by the 800 or so (not only western) Aurovilians resisting the onslaughts since December 2021, when JCBs cleared large parts of the youth centre ignoring pleas for a sustainable and well imagined development. The failure so far has been a collective one, not one sided, not by greenbelters or "westerners" only. More than fifty percent of AVns are Indian and more than half of those Tamil. Out of the rest, you can't conclude they're westerners either as we have some 60 nationalities, including various Asian countries. I ask right now, what are the plans to develop? Even in light of the NGT stay order on tree felling we can develop, we can do the detailed development plans, why not? Why a freeze now? Some thirty architects of AV came together to sketch plans for the Crown, but the foundation office seems more concerned with taking over all committees including those in control of all the assets of Auroville which were built not only by residents but also with the support of international wellwishers from all over. I sure wish we find some constructive ways forward before it's too late and AV will seize being an international community. And yes, in spite of all the slander on AV now, the project is still being mentioned by India as an amazing project in a UN meeting, so which way is it? And yes, in spite of all the slander on AVns I count myself a serious sanyasin. I may not be Indian or dressed in white but have had enough of nondual experience to know there's something to these teachings. With great respect for the Indian wisdom, many of us here are feeling were evolving along with consciousness and a great reverence for nature and trust in individual freedom as an imperative for growth remain. Of course open to the guidance of the GB, are they open to listen too?

Francois Gautier was drawn to the Mother and Auroville in his youth but failed to live up to her vision both of Auroville and India. The Mother wanted India to regain her political unity broken by partition due to the Hindu-Muslim divide but Francois belongs to the fringe groups in Indian politics who want no rapprochement with the Muslims within or outside India and dream of a Hindu Nation which Sri Aurobindo had rejected as impossible. Auroville was founded with a city plan approved by the Mother but Francois supports the dominant group that is against city development consisting mainly of eco-fundamentalist Westerners with some Macaulay-educated Indians and a few economic refugees from local villages. Hostile to city development they grew forests in areas meant for the city and constructed buildings on stretches of land meant for roads. Using vote bank politics and economic power they installed their puppets in the apex committees and took control of city services. None of the several Governing Boards were able to start building the city in the past even though the master plan was approved around the year 2000 and gazetted by the Govt. of India in 2010. When the present Governing Board with the Governor of Tamil Nadu as its Chairman and Dr. Jayanti Ravi as the Secretary started to clear trees and structures to complete a ring road critical for city development the anti-city group, who have recently started claiming that they are not anti-city but still turn up en masse to block any clearance work and in solidarity with their minority faction in the Working Committee that refuses to vacate their office in the town hall. Both the Chairman and the Secretary are well versed with the teachings of Sri Aurobindo, the Mother, and the ideals of Auroville and therefore are able to see through the falsehood of the group fighting city development with the aid of external media and Western-inspired eco-fundamentalists within India and rest of the World. PGurus should advise Francois Gautier to put into practice sincerely the ideals of the great Gurus and Auroville Charter that requires him to be the 'willing servitor of the divine consciousness' than become an ally of his divisive agenda that is detrimental to the future of India and Auroville.

Gujerati investment in Pondicherry goes back to the 60s. They had already eclipsed the Ashram with their investments. With the current Gujerat origin beaucracracy it is full circle. This story is a familiar one in several metros and abroad. A cultural revolution of sorts where a once benevolent community has raised its ideological head, that does not have universal favour. Many like Francois have been used as agents of their ideology. Don't expect any help from the duo.

François Gauthier lives in a world of falsehood. Everything said here is only to defend his own profiteering and that of his friends and family in Auroville. Auroville is being abused, since the very start, for personal profit and power games. It was very isolated, with a very spiritual aim, which made it seem like a nice a beautiful project (the project as intended by the Mother is a sublime gift to the world by India and the Divine). But the reality has been that it was a very low and ordinary colony, where white drop-outs and nobodies could suddenly become "seigneurs" of a small community, where people would be depending on their approval for living in "their" kingdom. All of that is now finally coming to an end, thanks to the Government of India, who have understood that this gang of colonials has gone completely rogue. All these old "revered brothers and sisters" in Auroville, who call themselves the "pioneers" and thereby need to be highly respected by the people who come later, are now losing everything they cheated and schemed for in the past 50 years. Their fury knows no bounds, as their arrogance has grown to astronomical proportions over the decades. Imagine: they were "respected" white colonials, getting away with literal murder and all kinds of crimes in their little hidden corner of the world, under the false pretence of being a successful spiritual "community". They ran to Delhi whenever something threatened their kingdoms, and they blackmailed and threatened everyone who wanted to speak the truth into silence. Now their carefully crafted cult is collapsing fully, and they cannot accept it: their arrogance, their claim to being above the law and totally "exceptional" is so big, that they can only believe that it is not true, and that what they claim to be reality will stop being a delusion, just by repeating it endlessly. François Gauthier is a pathetic liar and fraud, and luckily doesn't live in Auroville anymore. His claim to be an "Aurovilian" has zero value, he does nothing for Auroville except lobbying in Delhi. Aurovilians are not meant to be involved in politics, but François Gauthier has done nothing else but meddling with politicians so that he and his friends would be kept out of court. It is all over, this is this end of the perversion that these people have turned Mother's spiritual city into. Thank god. Interviewing François Gauthier will be obsolete, as he will only be able to complain and moan about the fact that he has lost his status and self-grabbed "power". Good riddance. Finally, some honesty and sincerity will be given the chance to blossom in the place intended by the Mother as "Auroville, the City at the Service of Truth".
