Thanks for your great advice. I stuck to most of your strong tactics and have built up s few sets of some 6 star relics. I had been kind of bored with my espers (my best were wukong, long mian & chandler) but after pulling 85 gold records this event I ended up with Clara, Tiye, Chloe & Sander. Very happy with my pulls and can't wait to build them.

When trying to get SPD sub stats, is it worth spending gold on 1-3L relics to reveal possible SPD sub stats?

Yes I do that for superior relics if the existing subs make sense

i would say if you are in the first month or so of playing, do not care about the sets so much, for the first 2 months of playing all of my dps espers had full broken sets, once you start transitioning from crit rate to crit dmg main stats, hunting for 100% crit rate is very hard if you stick to 1 set. lets just say for an example, if you had a war machine set and your stats are, 4000atk, 60% crit rate, 200% crit dmg. and you have a mixed set with 3500atk, 100% crit rate, 200% crit dmg. taking the set with less max atk and more consistency is going to be way more reliable, there is no point having 4k atk and 200% crit dmg if you miss crits half of the time. Just my opinion and it took me a few months to start building full sets like war machine on my dps, yes i might have terrible rng and your luck my be better, but especially earlygame i would advice going for the better stats rather than looking to match stats. just because that set may be best in slot for a specific esper doesnt mean they dont need the stats aswell.

if u can, do an avatara set on all espers that gain more damage from other stats like spd and see if you can kill someone with just the counterattack... obviously just for fun

You say for tankier DPSs, you can use HP% instead of ATK% -- why not DEF% as an alternative to HP%? I haven't been able to decide between the two tbh; sure, some espers ignore DEF in certain niche cases, but in other niche cases some Espers reduce max HP (or damage for a fixed percentage of max HP), where DEF would seem to help more than HP.

Most espers that are non defender types have higher hp than def in ratio. And yes ignore def is the main thing. Also def break makes def not as useful as hp

@@DaddyF2P Perhaps I overestimate how many Hydes/Ravens/Lou Yans there are out there; after all, max HP reduction is similar to def break in effect, except of course nobody reduces >50% max HP but also the debuff is permanent (and can't partially "counter" with the related buff either, there is DEF Up but no "max HP up" buff I think?) So remaining question to me is: internally, does DEF reduce damage by a flat amount or by ratio/% method? If the latter, then perhaps for ppl with higher HP than DEF (proportional to scale/ratio, ofc) might actually benefit *more* from higher DEF - in other words, optimal "protection" may be at the point where the HP/DEF ratios are at equilibrium, not from min/maxing the better of the two. I of course haven't tested this so I don't know either way -- perhaps you've looked at this and found min/maxing works better? Or has this not been examined very much yet by the community, perhaps? Apologies that I don't know much about the internals of such a confusing question, to where I could help.

If your really trying to optimise late game then 6* will get better stats, but if you don't have them yet a 5* with good subs and main is better than a 6* with only flat subs

stats are "rigged" in a sense that the odds of getting "crap" stats are much higher than the "desired" ones. both def, both res, acc, flat hp - much more common than cr crd or spd. I must have gotten 2000+ relics so far, i got about 10 SPD main relics - ALL of them "elite" i.e. 2 subs. plenty of other main stat that are "flawless"... they should post the odds somewhere.

Damn dude your relics are truly amazing! Sadly I don't get awesome relics no matter how many times I farm and upgrade em. I hardly get the desired substats like the ones in the video :(. I would love to have 100% crit rate and 100% crit damage in total with all my sets combined on a unit. .. But one is always lacking lol 😂 But thank you so much for the video.
