i came as fast as i could not super sold on macro... despite the nombo i would probably play the rivalry. i just feel like you're not allowed to play gates that don't wall zeus. i think i'd want to try the called, maybe a power, and the shifters out for a trap trick lineup as well, but that's probably just me being cute and overvaluing punishment. sick list!

Paleozoic camboraster (I think I misspelled his name), the paleo link 2 can protect your backrow when it is in grave. Making it a fine target for punishment and slayer. Although 1200 atk so punishment comes up only against spright or floows, or other low attack mons. I'd recommend it only if you have space 😁

8:47 punishment under shifter/cosmos resolve with no effect cause it needs to send a card to gy to continue the effect, so if you activate punishment the card is banished and the destruction doesn’t occur

Yeah, I’d still play it. If those cards are up tear can’t play anyways, so you shouldn’t really need the pop, but it’s still a worthwhile card still I’d say. Maybe torrential if you’d wanna swap for something else

You could use that or Champion's Vigilance whichever you feel may work only it does destroys and negates inherent summons, but doesn't negate monster effects.

Def a cool card, only thing is the main reason we’d play is so post side we don’t get blown away by storm, evenly, harpies. And if we don’t have a normal up it won’t be live. Something to consider

A very trolly tech I used to use was Mordschlag. Of course, it depends on the build but it a good troll equip card. lol I would use a rank 8 version to the deck lol

do keep in mind shiftering then punishment only works if in a chain, once shifter resolved you can activate punishment, but if the card sent from extra is not sent to gy you will not pop any thing

@@JustNutzProd for sure just work around them right now i play labrynth but i also play different dimension ground and soul drain in the side you just know when you cant send to gy dont activate punishment as it is still a legal activation you just dont get any effect well unless their some kinda of extra deck monster who does something when banished

I like the idea of running Kairyu-Shin as floodgate (Just a flood?), and a searcher for Sea Stealth and Pacifics. Summon it with Icejade Tremora, or by tributing Tenyi Spirit Shthana or a token. It's hard to play trough on its own, and you can scoop it off the field with Sea Stealth at any point in time, which turns on your Phantasm Spiral cards.

what do you think about playing only one megalosmasher, 7 colored fish and gagagigo and then play there can only be one as a floodgate instead of gozen?

Pacifis is definitely an amazing card. I throw in Orichalcos Shunoros for fun, mainly because he is SUPER easy to summon, since the Pacifis token is a normal monster as well. Divine Serpent Geh is also in there, since again, if your low on LP, summoning him is trivial off any monster and you get an untargetable beatstick. Pacifis itself reminds of Dartz’s mirror knights, these seemingly unkillable tokens that keep coming back. It’s the next best thing in the TCG like them.

You could, but the problem is you're needing a tribute, so really at that point you might as well be focusing more on the Legendary Ocean aspect instead.

As a very-much budget player with less access to some of the better traps… I would consider for myself adding 1 phantasm spiral wave equip spell and 1 phantasm spiral dragon. I would also add up to 3 heatwaves if you have access to them. Wave forces the opponent to discard 1 card from their hand while also giving you an extra body after protecting your meglosmasher, and you can use phantasm spiral power from the grave to equip to a normal monster any equip spells from your hand or grave (at any time, even during battle before damage calc), or phantasm spiral battle from the grave to move it from one normal monster to another. Spiral Dragon can be a brutal bust if drawn turn0 or game winning boss monster if not, he is needed for Waves effect, but can also be special summoned to the field using fish sonar. Cool deck list to compete with the modern meta. I also love the card-art for Fish Sonar

Phantasm Spiral Wave is a really bad card, as is any effect relying on the battle phase in this day and age. And as you said, Spiral Dragon is cool in theory (and you can summon it from deck with Fish Sonar), but the additional 900 attack really isn't worth it over summoning another level 4 normal to use for extra deck stuff. You can already make something like BLS - Soldier of Chaos with your token, and Megalosmasher enables rank 4s. I'm not really into paper play so my understanding of prices is non-existent, but maybe some of the Paleozoic traps are more budget friendly? They also help you trigger the Pacifis search with their graveyard effect. And there's stuff like the Solemns, the Tenyi counter trap, Torrential Tribute, Lost Wind. But if you really really wanted to search an equip spell, just use the one that gives the attack boost, and without the level 8 brick.
