I have the Phanteks P600S and it is an excellent case. This case seems to be great, and your suggestion to add more room for the backside makes sense as it would potentially make the side radiator compatible with the front radiator as well. And the vertical GPU for dual system would have better clearance from the glass

Never thought about running 2 pc's in the same case. Now you have got me thinking. This seems to be a very customizable case they have obviously spent a lot of time planning what we might want in our systems. I like the way they think and the quality looks amazing. Love the magnetic filters. Overall if I could afford 2 systems I think this would be the way to go. Love the video, its great to see how some one else does it and makes it look so good. Wish I had the skill you have James. Great review look forward to the next one.

A dual system is my goal by the end of the year with this case. First my main gaming system with it's own set of drives while using my current one for my iray render server, photoshop, and substance painter. Then once the new one is paid off, fit an itx in the bottom and toss my current system.

@@sulfuroxford4095 Yes, you can. You don't *have* to put more than one build in it; in fact, it seems like the general use case for that space is extra hard drive mounts.

Look ! It's the Enthoo 719(Luxe 2) Meshify :) . People kinda asking when there will be a airflow version of the Luxe 2. PS : I own the Luxe 2 and it's a behemoth of a case on my desk :) I love it! But I don't think I'll change it for the Pro 2 now. But I could change it for a meshed/airflow version of the Evolv X. I have 4 120 mm fans intake in the front, 2 120 mm fans intake in the bottom, a kraken X 52 on the side for the GPU GTX 1080 TI and a kraken X 72 for the CPU in the top plus one 140 mm exaust fan . All fans are EK Vardar Evo .
@surft
@surft 4 жыл бұрын
The Pro is supposed to be quite a feature rich case for the money like the original Pro which only cost about $100. It's meant to be rather feature rich but still budget so there is plastic. If you are on the Luxe you are good with the more premium features. The Pro has always been about value( heh I have the original Pro and got the original Luxe too because I found them so good)
@gmad4689
@gmad4689 4 жыл бұрын
But what are the differences between the 719 and the Pro 2? What accounts for the $40 price difference? Spec dimensions are slightly different, but the configurations appear identical except for the front panel, backside panel window, and front headset/microphone jack. Are the 719's materials on the front panel that much higher quality? Does the Pro 2 have significantly different air flow and thermals or is the mesh mostly for show and marketing? This review references the 719 and the prior extensive video reviews they've done on it, but could you please give us a comparison to the Pro 2?
@ZanderLexx
@ZanderLexx 4 жыл бұрын
@@gmad4689 The 719 has metal panels for top and front, they are actually plastic and metal but in a good light the finish on the plastic is identical to the finish of the metal which is a rare feature, You don't see this quality very often. Also these panels are a bit complex in design and let a lot of air in and out because there are acting like air guides especially the top one. Also this add to the robust aspect of the case. Another difference is that on the 719 the glass panel is hinged. The LED design is a bit more elaborated on the 719 with a LED strip that goes along the top, front horizontal and vertical and inside as well. Another noticeable difference is in the bottom design of the 719 where the air is drawn only from one side , the right side bottom is closed actually , so if you have a radiator as an exhaust on the bottom all the air is going over your right hand. And on more thing , because of the top panel, I think 719 has better clearance for radiators in push-pull Overall the 719 looks more premium besides Pro 2 only because of the panels, although 719 is not actually considered a premium case like a Evolv X case. I own the 719 and in my opinion it looks a bit better the Pro 2 just because of the metal plating.

This has to be one of the best cases to house two separate pcs in one! You can live stream with this baby easily instead of having separate PCs with their own cases. This for sure is best for live streamers who can use the bottom to house the mini itx with the second GPU to do the output part of your live stream all the while your main GPU is letting you game fully without any hiccups!
@Vinterloft
@Vinterloft 3 жыл бұрын
It's crap for *recording* and editing though. The original Phanteks MiniXL was much better because the ITX system was at the top so when you're rendering you're not dumping heat into the gaming PC. And it also had three 5.25" bays for hotswap backplanes so when you're done recording you just swap the drive over to the other system and start editing right away without using external crap or waiting for network transfer.

My only concern with this is that lower GPU smashed against the side panel. Won't that not properly breathe like this? I am considering this case, but do a build without a GPU and run Linux on the bottom ITX space...

I'd be curious what the temps are if you run the main (top) system under load and have the bottom system off because at that point you have very little intake air flow for the top system. It appears that this case is designed as such that the top system is somewhat dependent on the bottom system also being on to supply full air flow. I think one way this potential problem could be avoided was to make the case slightly taller so the the cpu aio for the bottom system could be mounted on the floor and mount fans for the front of the chassis that could be system independent and turned on for when either system is active. This would insure that when either system is off the powered on system is getting the full air flow needed.
@KitGuruJames
@KitGuruJames 4 жыл бұрын
You could potentially connect the fans to a power source directly from the PSU so that all system fans come on when either system is powered up. You may have to figure out a way to control fan speed independently though. I'm sure it could be done with a little more thought.
