As of lately, I've been rebounding this song. As much as I hate to admit it, I have been struggling with alcohol addiction. I constantly excuse myself to drink for the reasoning of my struggles, mistakes, regrets, and sorrows. I have been drinking to the point where I have, unfortunately, successfully convinced myself that alcohol is the key to happiness. I know it's not, but where I am during my plentiful of vulnerable moments, alcohol has been my convenient act for comfort and happiness. As I'm typing this, I can't help but feel guilt and shame on behalf of the younger "me" who has held higher values and expected better. This is what keeps me up at night and I hate myself for it. I hope that one day I'll change for the best, and I can surely say that this song has partially helped direct me in the right path.
