Back in the days, I played FIFA17 as my first FIFA and listened to Same Old Blues for the first time. Stuck on me since day one. Now, 8 years later I hear this banger on FC25 and instantly loved it. While listening, I feel the same vibe as years before. Phantogram just seems to make the perfect music for game soundtracks.

This entire album speaks to me on levels that few can get at..and does it artfully so. The lyrics are so matter-of-fact sad, it just makes them all the more tragic especially juxtapositioned against such a perfectly balanced complexity of sound. Reminds me of all of the ways I dance around the losses in my own life. Sometimes these things can only be expressed through experiencing amazing, freaking music like this that breaks my heart and heals me all at once.
