I think the scariest thing about this disguise is that he literally is a full on GOD, so he could've been exactly like Sonic. But, he wants to throw those subtle little off-setting points so you could figure it out the more you progress, such as the lankier arm as shown in the up pose, the shadowed eye, and that godforsaken protruding kneecap..eugh.

The reason you can see his kneecaps is probably because of his inner form AND his true form which mind you are fucking terrifying (even though the true form hasn't been revealed yet, you can look at his inner form and you'd already know that his true form is probably similar)

For me it's the left one. At first you think "oh, *THAT'S* normal!" but you take another look at it and you realize that something isn't actually right with him due to his sinister, sly appearance on the left of his eye, but that down pose definitely also spells your demise!

something that i dont think many people take note of: when lord x reveals himself, he isn't supposed to look like sonic, but more something wearing sonic's skin, hence the song name - when you understand what the second phase sprites are representing it makes the sprites way better

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the classic Sonic.EXE style "horror" with the deep red backgrounds and stuff, but I'd absolutely love to see more of this subtle atmospheric horror that we see in the first phase of this song. I'm actually thinking of making a Sonic.EXE game with the focus shifted from jumpscares everywhere to atmospheric horror, suspense, stuff like that, with a boatload of sarcastic humor thrown in for good measure.
