Oh trust me, being on the otherside of this wasn't fun either. I got so much shit for unlocking it from the box, but trust me, i fucking earned it more then the majority of the assholes. I spent 3 fucking months, playing 3-5 hours per day looking for those FUCKING DOG TAGS! I did literally EVERYTHING else for the bow, but because i couldn't find a fucking white box, on snow maps, which you could only really see with FLIR sights, who could spawn on 5-7 different spots at EVERY FLAG, only spawning after 10 minutes and having a 10 minute respawn timer, then i all of the sudden wasn't worthy of it. I think you can notice how i am still bitter over this shit, i lost so much time for something so pointless.

I remember this... the challenge was fun and i spent alot of time getting the bow legit, but still kinda pissed it was a pick up later.

The devs of the map were 50/50 on the whole idea of it being given away so easily. Originally there was a sequel to the phantom assignments involving the blue crate, but it was sadly cut to meet the deadline. The Easter egg would’ve involved you unlocking the door with a MAV and somehow bypassing a security door with a camera outside, past the door would’ve been a bunker with a big vault door that would’ve involved a puzzle to open. When you did finally open it the phantom bow would be hidden somewhere in the vault. Then I think if anyone comes across the vault they will be able to pick it up. However some of the devs wanted the bow to be hidden somewhere in the map instead of a bunker, and with them wanting to release the map and not waste time with another Easter egg they cut the whole thing. :(

Colonel 100 isn't lying here wow. 100 used to be the max rank in Battlefield 3, after 50 you'd have to go 1 to 100 if I'm not mistaken. In Battlefield 4 100 automatically gives it to you, even though there are 40 more ranks after you reach 100.

I mean - they have a point. But I never use that dumb knife. I prefered my veteran knife. And the bow - well I barely use it - only used it on night maps - and yes I tried getting the dog tags - but you just don't have time for that. Troll's everywhere. And when I was close to completing it - the box came out. I'm more of impressed of people getting the DICE camo (cheating pricks immune to the 2 special sights) - I'm really bad with morse codes and nobody was there to help me get it. I don't really need it anyway. I like to play "fair" and "square" ._.
