Newbie question here (sorry!) regarding Pilot Experience: In Vassal, as all Pilots cards are listed as 'Newbie', do I select a pilot and upgrade their experience to 'green', 'average' or 'skilled' etc to meet the pilot skills for the campaigns? I'm a little lost as my first mission allows for 3 pilots and they are all Newbie in Vassal.

The default is Newbie, but to start the campaign you promote the amount of pilots to the grades listed on the campaign card. I always try to promote the ones that are hardest to promote as these are free! My VASSAL probably differs from the one you have as i made my own so i'm not sure how that one works. Hi, I really liked watching your video series, so I bought the Phantom leader vassal module. The player sheet mod you added was really good, it's not in the base module. Could you share this mod? Have you thought about contacting DVG to get this mod added to their module? I'm sure they would appreciate it.

I am unable to share it, and I have offered several of my modules but nothing has ever come of it. The still have my B-17 FFL module that I offered and it has gone nowhere!

@@Teufelhunde87 :/ Very disappointed to hear that. I would certainly buy more modules if they were up to the same quality as your mods. I love these games but the base modules really are bare bones.

@@goodman528 thats why i redid mine. I like all the belks and whistles. I think Hornet leader CAO is the good module. I just used it as a base and redid everything using the art from the one i bought. Did that for All rhe leaders. Apache leader is a solid module too.

@@Teufelhunde87 :) Thank you for the module recommendations! I bought the Thunderbolt Apache Leader vassal module and it's really good! I'm thinking of buying Hornet leader CAO too, but it seems too similar to Phantom Leader in gameplay. Is Hornet Leader and Phantom Leader really the same game with different skins?

@@goodman528 IMO 2 whole different monsters! I love them both, actually all the leader games. I will update with the expansions when I get the time , going to be rough for a month or so! You will recognize everything I did for Phantom Leader if you get it. Should still be the same module as the one I bought a while back.

Unfortunately my VASSAL module is a complete redo. I based it on the Hornet Leader build(latest edition). I will look at the stock module from dvg, but i don't think it has it.

I modified Corsair Leader VASSAL module. Every leader moduke i have, i buy the module and then use the art to convert it over to Corsair leader style. I like that format better. Stick module is still playable, just got spoiled by Corsair Leader.

@@pedroluispaz1870 Not to my knowledge. I hope they update them all, but usually it's up to the creator. DVG has limited VASSAL experience and count on several people to submit them.
