It looked like bad paper maché. It was creepy and had dead eyes. The makeup underneath was creepy too. And Lon Chaney did it himself, pretty cool if you ask me.

Carlotta has a good singing voice, but it's just annoying. It has too much vibration. A little TOO much vibrato, you know? She's pure opera, and Christine is almost half Opera, but it's still beautiful. Carlotta's like Sarah Brightman, they both have voices that would be great in an Opera, but not in other music. So what I'm saying basically is that you have to understand what Opera was, and how great it actually sounded back then.
