Ridiculous decision by the brand to remove the name Paco from Paco Rabanne. It is what gave the brand the most personality, even when pronounced in several languages. Ridiculous and unjustified. It's as if they eliminated Carolina from Carolina Herrera or Calvin from Calvin Klein.

It’s a marketing thing. If you’re new to the fragrance, Rabanne is much shorter and easier to remember than it’s full name. I wear this, and it’s nothing like their previous so think they are looking for new customers rather than their old. So a catchier name is beneficial. People who already use one of their fragrance already know their full name. Also, something worth mentioning, they only use the shortened ‘Rabanne’ in marketing advertising. On the box, it still says Paco Rabanne. So even more likely they are wanting something memorable in marketing.
