How does he play with this Groovebox so long? Does he have presaved basslines and loads them one after another? So he tweaks them and puts FX on the basslines on the fly? Does he create the melodies live or are the melodies also presaved? What role does the Xone 92 Mixer play? How does he mix from one track to another? Does the Electribe support 4 Channel Output? So he can blend from Channel 1/2 to 3/4 over the Mixer?

Korg emx has 6 sampled drum and 5 synth parts with over ten different engines that you can select from. So that means each tracks has been sequenced in this box. Note that there is no way to load your own samples in this machine. You have to work with whatever drum sounds have been preloaded by korg. You can also assign three different fx per part that you can also put in parallel. Also emx has L - R plus two assignable outputs so technically yes, He can arrange his tracks so each one plays from a different stereo channel so he can blend between each track.

​@@tommeysztowicz3163 my guesses/some thoughts on ways he may approaching this: I think it's like 7-9 drum parts, and 5 synth parts available. Bare in mind, that even the drum parts can be really messed with to create less obviously 'drum' elements, with repitching, filters, effects, automated movements of any parameter etc. With so many parts available, and the ability to copy individual parts over to new patterns, a pattern will have a set of intended sounds to manipulate for the few minutes that track is playing, then some elements will be copied over the next new pattern, which although is a different track with new drums and synths, hooks etc, now contain a few key duplicate elements. Those duplicate elements might start the next pattern fully in, giving the illusion the track isn't changing yet, and the new elements are muted, and then with a mixture of subtlety, and some tricks (which are personal to the performer and I don't claim to know all of those), the switch can be facilitated by having both old and new on the pattern. As for the mixer - you can send out groups of tracks separately, and the mixer gives control of those groups on separate channels. Mostly it seems like he's filtering low or high ends out, and adding targeted reverbs and delays, for variation and washes of sound. I would hazard a guess that some of the art of transitioning seemlessly between tunes also occurs during these mixer effect sections. I don't know all of this is fact, but I suspect at least some of it holds weight. There's stuff going on which isn't so dissimilar to mixing two records together, and knowledge of the machine allows access to the workarounds. This set made me order an EMX 😂 so I'll be trying out some of these theories myself.

It’s routed to the xone mixer, he can use the the fader to throw it in and out, filter the kick or filter the master It also allows you to eq everything but the the kick to balance it out in the mix, also better to balance out things on the trim for each different club
