Lagos State is miles ahead of other states in Nigeria.

There's no point in stressing that. Lagos was the former federal capital, it's has benefited the federal government present and its strategically on the Atlantic Ocean. Intentionally, the federal government developed the ports and allow only Lagos as the sole area where goods come to the country. So, every investor will definitely aim to invest in the economy capital. The present government, after capital relocation of capital to Abuja, can't have a reason of failing. Even America, there are states that benefited more federal government presents, that's why their revenue is fa more than Delaware or Rhode Island, and most people don't know if they're in America.

However, as a Natural Harbour with natural advantages such as being the closes distance to Europe & North America Lagos was able to contribute more to the National Purse through tax revenue generation which goes straight to the federal purse along with other federal generated revenue such as oil and other natural resources. There are 36 states in Nigeria and Lagos contributed more that majority of all the states in Nigeria. If Lagos was allowed to keep all it generated over the years. It would be even way more developed than it currently is. Please respect Lagos and stop all this federal history talk. New York, Kingston(Jamaica), Freetown( Serria Leone) and many more. These are states with similar harbour advantage as Lagos in their region.
