Yeah if you’re not hooked on phonix lol jk yeah never knew his body if work. Heard he was in a band that came out with coming out, freak out and we are family but that was it. I kind of deal like they down played Nile in terms of hits he produced for white singers. Only time I saw him on tv was regarding his band. Never saw photos of Nike Rodgers with the white artists he produced. I mean let’s dance was playing on a network that refused to play black music. They only allowed rock music vids to play. Which funny enough rock music was invented by black people. Done poorly by whites who tried had to emulate the soul raspy voices of black rock artists but couldn’t so they end up with that weird high pitch sound weird they turned rock into something weird due to lack of innovation. The focus became more white to the point where it was looked at as white music. Now the same is being done to pop, R$b, almost did it to rap. It’s whatever we will continue to innovate new sounds, genres through our souls

Artists like Nile come by rarely. His sense of song and celebration is hard to articulate. I agree with Pharrell, Nile is a 100% legend and just try to get your head around his contribution to music, gosh, good luck with that. And to top it off, he's a stellar human being. The icing on the cake is that, I feel certain, that he made many LGBTQI people not only treasured but made us shake our booty too. Love ya work Mr Rodgers.

So it takes $3 billion insales to get inducted? it took 40 years, his band CHIC gets denied every year though no matter what. just think with $2 billion sold, hundreds of millions of albums and singles, with the top artists, he got denied year after year, because mainly he is seen as disco, and those that do the inducting hate disco more than anything, but a lot of them have died and that is trhe only reason he got in, but not his band.

Now if Nile Rogers from Chic can be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Why Can't Luther Vandross.

That's a great question. It's a shame that neither Chic or Luther are in the Hall. It's become little more than a popularity contest. Very sad.
