He's easily a top 5 producer of all time!!! It's nice to see Pharrell get more recognition I remember rounding up all these songs during quarantine and I was surprised just how much great music he's been apart of. Btw I'm wondering where did you and everyone else who watched this video over the past couple days come from? It randomly got like 20k views in 2 days after sitting relatively stagnant. I wasn't sure if KZbin started recommending it to people or if y'all all came from somewhere.

That originally was the point of the count. Like a metronome so the artist knows how to flow with the beat. He said he ended up leaving the 4 count in the songs by accident, so they kinda became his thing over time.

That is so awesome. It doesn't come off as arrogant and "in your face" to me like for example "D-J- KHALED!!" is. It seems way more humble because it's subtle. I never knew this. What a cool Easter egg.

He has by far the best producer tag because it’s unique as hell and it’s not annoying. Most other producers love shoving their involvement in your face, but not Pharrell.
@CrabSpu

But there's nothing wrong with "shoving their involvement in your face." Can beat makers not be proud of their beats or want to take credit? Is extreme humbleness a necessity?

Yeah I was considering putting APESHIT in but I decided not to just because it would have been kind of weird to animate that. And yeah I think it’s awesome that EL-P payed homage to Pharrell with that beat! I mean even the style of the beat is paying homage to him it’s perfect. Had no idea it wasn’t Pharrell who produced it until I looked it up.
