This was really great to watch, you’re for sure a good dude too brother ! The only reason I’m on the album is because Tomi’s originally planned singer / band left last minute. I whipped up this arrangement over-night bc I was very excited for the opportunity to be on the album 🤍 Very happy you like my guitar, I’m very proud of the finger-style❤️ It is a semi-acoustic but the reverb might’ve made it sound electric 🤷🏽 Always warms my heart to get compliments on my voice from you🥹

I think my favorite reaction was 'Lullaby of Woe" Tomi's range can only be described as unearthly lol. I'm pretty sure I made the same facial expressions as you during that song. Love you guys!

Peter... thank you for mentioning and reminding me that in a choral setting an E flat 2 is respectable... I feel like a soprano compared to some of these online basses... It's also really cool where even your analytical brain goes "WHAT just happened?!". Between Tomi's growls/inhales plus his insane high range... it's just amazing.

I love how you all can just appreciate the talents of eachother. Not a competition but a showcase. When you can respect others in your field for their own talents. Would that we could see more of that in the world.

Tomi is a legend!! This album really shows his unlimited music skills used in his arrangements and I super appreciate being part of Feeling Good on the instrumental. It was little funny seeing you surprised when the voices has come together with the strings. Anyway I enjoyed every minute of this reaction and also appreciate of sharing your music knowledge in every video!

Chills, ABSOLUTE chills, especially with "Wake me up" Tomi and Casper are literal legends and the whole album was incredible, but "Wake me up" was my favorite. Masterful peice. Brilliantly done, can't wait to get the album myself.

So first off, hope your audition went well. Seeing your reactions to all the curveballs Tomi throws in this was a lot of fun. Totally agree about that last intro-what the heck, Tomi?? I have to admit, if I had to try to analyze everything going on in this in one reaction, my brain would be absolutely fried. Glad you did this!

Well, I watched the whole video and would love to see more like it. Bought Tomi’s album when it came out; it’s simply fantastic. On a second note, I know that Voiceplay has an old album, Once upon an Ever After, that would have completely fresh versions of their Disney covers that you haven’t analyzed on your channel yet.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching you react to Tomi’s album. Reminded me of when I first heard each song. Love Tomi of course and this album is phenomenal. Love every song on it. I cannot pick a favourite either as they are all incredible in their own way. Tomi really is a genius when it comes to arrangements with a voice to die for. Thanks for reacting to the entire album. ❤

It's amazing to see how you support each other's endeavors. Peter- it was fun to see your facial expressions throughout Tomi's album. At times you truly were surprised and a bit awestruck by Tomi's range. Tomi P! Bravo! I will definitely have this album on repeat. Your arrangements are next level. Excellent!

Haven’t gotten this far in the video yet, but I’m excited to see Peter’s thoughts on the A0 at the end of Lullaby Of Woe! It almost gave me a heart attack first time I heard it… 😂
@pitchperfectcontralto2 жыл бұрын
You know, this is all amazing. The album's amazing, the reaction's amazing, everything's amazing. I was especially excited to see your reaction to the A0 in Lullaby of Woe. I still can't get over that. I've said this many times before, but y'all are such cool people and I want to be like you guys when I get older. I really admire you guys so much and I can't express that enough.

I had so much fun, and learned too. I think Tomi's background shows so much through all his arrangements. When I listen to his music and Bass Gang arrangements you can hear the Greek Orthodox church, and Asian influence. His ear is so different than the American. I look forward to see what he come up with. Going through this with you helped figure some of the difference much easier. Thank you for sharing your gifts. Good luck with your audition!

I thoroughly enjoyed this breakdown of Tomi's album. Your ear and what you can point out that I've never heard before, in any analysis, is always so interesting. If you ever did something like this again for a video, I would be here watching the whole thing.

I enjoyed this so much!! Tomi’s talent is amazing, so fun to listen to these tracks with you. So happy to stick around til the very end. Definitely continue to do full-album reactions, I would love it if you did a PTX album such as their Top Pop Vol 1 (since you mostly react to covers for acappella, and that’s probably their longest all-covers non-Christmas album) or even do The Lucky Ones (all originals). Thanks for doing this video!! 😊

I must say I love how you guys all support each other, it is so refreshing. Peter you are the best at this, with your knowledge of the music and you have a calmness, this makes the watching experience very engaging. I really enjoy your reactions but also now with the Base Gang stuff You Tube is becoming a bit of a day off addiction as it's throwing me out in all directions with new stuff to find.. just like you have done now with Tomi P...Thank you.

Where do I sign the petition to be best friends? 😂 I was definitely here for the whole thing and would have watched a full five hour breakdown without stopping. I was expecting you to at least react to Lullaby Of Woe, but got home from the gym and saw you did a full album listen and immediately watched the whole thing. 😊 I have had this album on repeat! Tomi did a phenomenal job. The range!! A0 to E6 in just Lullaby alone. My whistle notes top out at an F6/F#6 and I’m a first soprano. Ridiculous 😩

Of course I watched the whole video. Always interesting to hear your analysis and learn a little more music theorie and arrangement along the way. And I agree, the amount of musical variety is mind boggeling. It is a very interesting album. I'm looking forward to your album. The description sounds interesting. I would really like to see your opinion on Ayreon, if you want to look into some Prog-Rock/Metal mixed with elements of Folk and Musical Theater. The Day That The World Breaks Down (kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXfYfn6ap9-Dp7c) is a usual starting point and has the added benefit of pop-up comments from the composer/producer giving some background information. And it has eleven singers in this song, since it is basically the overture to the album that introduces all the characters. Every album tells one story in a bigger SciFy Universe.

So, when you do albums, are you going to put viper per song or just a couple per video.
@maudglazbrooke12872 жыл бұрын
I loved this, I thought it was awesome.... but you could've chopped it into sections and I wouldn't've been mad. I suspect that would be more palatable for people who are less staunch fans of yours than myself. Ideally spreading the releases throughout the same week rather than playing out the album over nearly a month but *shrugs*
