Please do this more often, this is absolutly great, exactly the right pacing to get information and learning skills while its absolutly entertaining. Awsome job! I really want to learn how you do your Highlights and what you do to let your pictures look so rough and textured in the finnishing! Thanks alot!

5:25 If it helps, here's my way of perfectly perfectly getting the white parts out of an image. It was a game changer when I realized this: 1. Turn the cloud image black and white, adjust the values so the parts you don't want are black, then select all and copy. 2. Make a new layer, fill it with white, make a quick mask (make sure the mask is black) then paste into the quick mask 3. Now just apply the quick mask, it'll delete everything but the white bits, in this case clouds VIOLA perfect extraction of the white values! You can do the same thing if you want to extract black values, just invert before you copy and fill the new layer with white instead of black :)

This is an insanely good format for tutorials. I look forward to seeing more of these. Also am very interested to know in how you get the rough and textured noisy look in the end. Best of luck mate
@brendan44253 жыл бұрын
I think what hes doing is creating a new layer as the top layer that is a combination of all other layers (ctrl+alt+shift+e) and then hes going into camera raw and bringing up texture and probably some other sliders to make it pop like that. I could be wrong though, I would definitely like to know for sure as well.
