Cool, keep the bushing oiled and use a little WD 40 to keep shoes and drum clean and it should perform well.

The 5/8 Extreme Duty has the soft metal hub w/heavy shoes. The 3/4 Extreme Duty comes with the hardened hub so it holds up to the on/off cycle and doesn't fail.

If you want quick grab and less shoe wear use the lowest rpm springs. If they don't have them you can make them to suit the quickness you want.

The only place you can get it is Gasbike, under Phatmoto parts, (they are calling it "heavy duty") please don't confuse it with Hilliard's Extreme Duty. They are very different. Gasbike is asking $79 for the new clutch.

It slides right back in! (Camera pans away 4 hours passes!) simple just like that LOL!

Love your work Beau. Just welded or should I say re-welded my gas tank on the Phatmoto. Its holding fine. I hate the gas tank liner. Its fine for short term but It tends to flake away in the long term. My Father always said "If its worth doing. Do it right the first time". May I ask the name of the face book channel you recommended? Grateful and God Bless.

Yeah, it is basically a race clutch "undercover" but it costs $79

Actually the chart I show is maybe the wrong chart, the chart for this clutch should be the Blaze/Blizzard chart, sorry they have a chart for every clutch.

How do I oil the bushing? I seen how you did the old clutch but I have the Hilliard and I was confused

Seems like a very good clutch do they make em for 212 engines
@beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles3 жыл бұрын
These clutches are a long drawn out story. The Extreme Duty 3/4 bore which is what the P 212 cc uses comes with the hardened hub and the heavy shoes work with it because it is a 6.5 hp engine with lots of torque. The Extreme Duty 5/8 bore comes with the powdered steel hub, which shears. Thats why a new 5/8 bore clutch was put together with the lighter shoes and hardened hub. It gets confusing with these clutches and it is something that you have to really have experience with them and have followed the clutch in all of its incarnations.

@@beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles I see the 3/4 clutches come standard with better hubs than the 5/8

That goes on the lil lifan motor?

Yeah, Pat its for the 5/8 bore Lifan or any engine with the 5/8 shaft crankshaft

dose it fix a 49cc 4 strok
@beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles3 жыл бұрын
No, I don't think it even fits a 49cc 4 stroke, I think they have a tapered shaft anyway that requires a completely different clutch.

this clutch vs a torque converter on a phatmoto?
@beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles3 жыл бұрын
I know of one guy who installed a 30 series with the stock L 152F - 3 engine, he had to modify both the torque converter and his jack shaft. A few others have done it with a P 79 cc engine. A lot have done it with their upgrade to a Predator 212 cc. My personal opinion is the stock Lifan 153F - 3 engine lacks the torque necessary to make it worth while. The P 79 cc delivers much more torque at a lower rpm, and a P 212 cc is a torque monster so it would be advantageous. So I'll stick with the clutch, with a upgraded engine, a torque converter is a good choice.
