You have the easiest and best tutorial for these! Got my supplies! I can't wait to make this for my Halloween mermaid grotto!

This was the best video! Thank you. I used a lot of your tips but tweaked it to fit my needs to make Ursula tentacles for my costume. The hangers and bubble wrap were my favorite tips!

It's funny I came across this! I saw another tutorial and I didn't care for it so much. So, I sat and thought about doing it just like this, but wasn't sure...now you have answered my questions. Thanks. It looks cool and I am going to tweak it a little.

Wondering if using a heat gun on cling layer, before bubble wrap, would create smoother surface I want or melt pool noodles.
@phayes22224 жыл бұрын
I think there would always be some danger of melting the pool noodles, but you should be able to heat-shrink the plastic without damaging the foam as long as you're careful. To be honest, even if the noodles melt a little bit and get a little gnarly in places, that will probably make them look even better.

How bendable are these?
@phayes22226 жыл бұрын
ldypolgara I was able to bend them to an almost 90-degree angle, but I had to keep them bent for several hours before they'd hold that shape; otherwise, they tended to spring back to their original position. I would actually recommend giving the noodles a spiral cut before wrapping them in the plastic to make them more pliable. It should only take a few extra minutes. Thanks, and good luck!

I was gonna use em for a cosplay, but are they too stiff?
@phayes22225 жыл бұрын
The way I made them in this video, they are rather stiff. However, if you make spiral cuts in the noodles along the whole length before wrapping them in the plastic wrap, they will be much more flexible. Hope that helps!

@@phayes2222I know I’m four years late lol but do you mind expounding on how you cut the spirals??

@@xJessiSays I haven't tried it myself, but this seems to be the method most people use: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqPZm6Smp76AobMsi=rz2_Uxjfzn3DihWr You could probably just free-hand it, but at least this video gives you an idea of what a spiral-cut noodle will look like.
