I think resurface is the best thing you can do to your old ball. It won’t hold like that for very long but at least it will give the motion back for a few games at a time depending on how well you do it :)

I just drilled one and I’m a 2 hander too. Bowled a small local tournament with it and won but I’m still really learning how to control it down lane especially when I move left. Almost thought the ball was a bust for me until I watched this. Just gonna keep practicing.

I would do a full resurface to the box finish then by hand take something a little more grittier than the box finish (I don’t know the finish on the phase 2) I did this with my quantum bias solid and it reacts and drives through the pins like it’s brand new out of the box

Nice video! It's neat to see a comparison of this ball. I also throw a Phaze II, and I love it! Although, it has been wearing out a bit. Its back-end hook isn't like it was fresh from the box. Keep on bowling!

That old Phaze 2 is like what happened to my IQ Nano Pearl. Used to hook like crazy, now it's basically down and in, no matter the surface. Unless the lanes are broken down, or less volume to begin with. P.S I do de-oil it.

If you deoil a Ball to hot, not only oil but also plasticizers come out of the Ball, which lead to it dying and not hooking any more.

@@itslegiTim They'll come out no matter what you do, in the case of de-oiling. Just have to manage the time correctly, or use something like Ball Life Extender(after) that can restore some of it.

@@porkisthebestmeat8955 I wound up getting the axiom. It’s been performing very well for me, it has a good backend reaction, hooks a bit earlier, and has a very smooth shape. It’s been my favorite ball so far
