Am a Professor from Kerala, India. Send a letter to Prof Paul Nurse. Got a great reply from him. Today it is framed and put on my study table. His latest book is simply mind blowing

Professor Nurse, do you think those of you who live in London, have lost touch with the natural world? Do you think that you have all forgotten that humans are just another species? I visit London every so often, and I would say that Londeners have likely forgotten what the natural world is, because London is huge and disconnected from nature. It is all concrete, buildings, human structures, tunnels, vehicles, bridges, authority and too many people in one place. I was born in London, so I am allowed to slag it off.

That depends on where you live. I lived in Hampstead and it was wonderful, full of nature.

@@bababoozonkie5431 Thanks. If you want to help, use ECOSIA.ORG as you search engine. it plants tropical trees to stop climate change and the destruction of tropical rainforests. It has a APP for your mobile. Looking at videos of Hampstead, it looks wild, but is it truly wild? Is every square meter of it untouched by humans? Something like 85% of English land has been touch by humans, and an estimated 45% or more of global land is now touched by humans. If land is truely wild, it should be wild and over grown and the grass should grow to 1 meter or higher in the Summer and have sead heads. The grass should also be full of wild flowers. Humans should not touch anything. Ideally, humans shouldn't even enter the land, and just let it be wild. There was a 5 acre piece of untouch land in the centre of Edinburgh, but a few years ago, The Royal Edinburgh Psychiatric Hosptial decided to destroy it, to build a brain building. The short sighted psychiatrists putting their careers before wildlife and nature. It is not surprising humans have caused a global warming problem and a mass extinction.
