Phd in abroad can have a duration of 3 years. In India it can vary from 3-8 years. I can't say much about 1 year Msc course.

Areeb sir, I did my M.tech (Food Safety And Quality Management) in SRM UNIVERSITY, Chennai (2020). I wanted to give ICAR-NET exam. Is only ICAR affiliated colleges students gives that exam? Is any other NET exam for private colleges/deemed colleges students.

ICAR NET Food technology is for anyone who has completed masters in food science or allied domains. However, ICAR SRF exam is only for those who have completed Masters from ICAR accredited university/college.

ICAR SRF provides stipend of Rs. 31,500-35,000 but to appear for this exam, the college from where you have completed post graduation must be ICAR accredited. Another way of getting the same stipend is to qualify UGC NET in home science.

The best possible guidance that I can give you, is to explore your options as much as possible.

If you want to go for a job in the food industry, it's better to go for it directly rather than going for masters. After masters you'll have 0 years of experience but after B.tech if you do a job, you'll have 2 years of experience. And food industry appreciates candidates who have more experience.
