'Be an extroverted character of yourself' Whilst this is undoubtedly a piece of good advice for my introverted self, I just realised I have used this technic throughout my uni (as a shy and awkward overseas student) - be a character of yourself who speak good English, be a hardworking character of yourself, be a sporty character of yourself, etc...

They didnt ask me questions like tell me about yourself. But the first question was why do you want to do a PhD and why in this university. They also asked about my methodoloy , why I choose it? etc

I had my interview today. On zoom. I realised around an hour before that I wasn't going to perform well, felt very nervous and didn't have all my presentation flowing off the tongue and no time to fix it. I had to resort to vodka to try and loosen up! And then they didn't give me any softball questions like 'tell up a little about yourself', but I had very technical questions. But thanks for the prep help! I think I have no chance of getting it.

I feel all good, and then right before my body starts doing weird things, and then I think, oh no, he we go, and then it all goes to hell.

You know how a lot of 1960s jazz drummers employed a lot of patterns on the bell of the ride cymbal and then alternating the toms etc .. do you have any good patterns for the ride i could learn for these?
