I’m so happy I came across your channel! I’m currently finishing up my masters degree in international relations in Europe (Belgium) and I’ve been considering doing a phd abroad! I already vacationed in Korea before but I’ve never really stopped to think about the possibility of me studying there… 💗✨ Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us :)

Can we do phd and job together in Korea or it will be difficult?

If you are on a student visa unfortunately you can only do a part-time job or a job within the university (for example teaching assistant)!

Hi i did my post graduation in MA political science and international relations and now i want to do phd in political science and international relations in south korea. Could you help me for some information. Finally I founded who are doing phd in international relations. Which university is better for doing phd in international relations? And are they teaching in english or Korean? Dormitory classes etc

I would advise you look into the best universities programmes first (you can start with SKY universities and then go down the rank). Most university will have a phd all in english in international studies, so you can start from there, compare universities and courses and then filter your choice! I applied to 3 universities, so I advice you send multiple applications too. For dormitory and classes every uni has different arrangements but you can find the info on their websites

To approach professors, I wrote to the Dean of my department explaining my research interest and asking to recommend me professors. You can also write to profs already after checking if their published work aligns with your research
