Lived in Angeles City for eight years during the 70's. I shop at this market quit often. I usually shop there between 5:30 - 6:00 a.m. when everything is really fresh, especially the pork. It's also the most congested time. Everyone have the same idea. Look like they clean the place up quit a bit. The dry good sections are always nice. But the wet market was usually wet and messy. I just look at the prices of pork and chicken, it cost more there than here in Texas. Veggies are cheap though. They used to have green bananas which were my favorite. They are green outside but it's actually ripe. It has a sweet fragrance the regular banana do not have. You can only get them in Baguio now. There, they have bananas in variety of colors. Enjoy our eight years there, but it's not a place to retire.

You almost could have said this was the Wet Market in San Fernando, La Union and I would have believed it! Love buying my fish and meat from these markets. Last year I got a 2 kilo Tuna for $8 US. Made the best Poki with my wife's help diba! Siempre! Can't live without her. See Ya soon Koo Koo!
