I think it's because she a jazz singer, a pop singer certainly won and other singers in.metal or folk music could not win either. I think people choose what they already know although it's not wonderful.

@@IAmFat1968 This exactly. If you hear the music that is produced by the winners afterwards, it's mostly commercial garbage (with some exceptions, thank goodness). I'm pretty sure they don't have much say in it, they're basically owned by the production company.

Hey Jude was absolutely crazy, you can see in the drummer he's playing concert and not accompanying to participant. What a voice control..over the charts, the lows in que serra, jazz, bocceli, rock...this is possibly one the best participants overall voices..

Sorry, but it reminds me of Basia Trzeczelewska, one of the best Polish jazz singers. Seriously, I even thought it was her song...!!!
