Y’know, I actually liked Book 3. It certainly wasn’t that good, but it was far from bad. If IS didn’t restrict the story to the first and last levels of each chapter, it probably would’ve been much better. So much potential, but it got squandered by the way they presented it. I have hope for Book 4, but I couldn’t see IS making it a very impactful story when they cram it into just a few paragraphs of dialogue

Seriously, I honestly think in order to make these Main campaigns interesting they need to have story segments at the start and ending of each level of the chapter (or at lease three of them) & and have the heroes in the levels actually have some sort of investment/opinion on being summoned and commanded by the enemy or at least say something in regards to the plot. As it stands, Last year's Adrift & Christmas paralogues felt like they told me more than three chapters combined in the main story.

I'd like them to just add a few OC in the banners, just to make the main story quest are more connected. Or maybe use characters from several games that might be good to the story. Only using characters from 1 series kills the story like almost everytime. There are a few good choices tho, like using all the black fang (Ursula and friends) as a reinforcement instead of generic soldiers in the end of Book 2.

Am I the only one who just really loves Book 3? The characters with their unique design, the Story about Lif, The music, the atmosphere its all just so cool and interesting. I love how Alfonse matured in Book 3 and confronting Lif about all what happened in the story. I'm so glad this exists Book 3 is just so awesome. And the Boss Music is one of the best themes ❤️

Goddamn those little details between ENG and JP dubs makes me waaaaay happier when watching this. - ENG dub focuses more on their body language in their animations compared to JP's tone and emotion in voice (Alfonse's sentence about Lif serving for Hel, for example) - ENG dub has to play around the fact that Julie Kliewer is absent during the ending and used it to create tense silent moments before Hel swings her Scythe onto her, creating the immersion of "so scared you can't even talk or scream" usually used in thriller movies. JP dub had Sharon scream Alfonse's name to build up emotion during the entire exchange, making players, viewers and everyone on the scene wanting to rush in to save her. - Not to mention the lip-sync work is redone for each version. truly a great cinematic

@@sylvandoggo4416 fun fact, the animation is different for both ENG and JP dub. The lip-syncing i mean. Also the cutscenes have different length for both versions. The Alfonse and Lif one have an extra 1-2 second in the ENG ver compared to the JP one. And the ending of Book 3 where Eir says her goodbyes takes longer in JP than the ENG one. It's almost like they redid some parts of the animation for each version, most noticably when Alfonse says something about working for Hel, the ENG version have more body language and Alfonse tilts his head when saying Hel in shame. While the JP ver has Alfonse dumbfounded the entire time and stares off at the distance. So i don't think it's Sync issues, it's probably just the direction and/or Julie Kliewer isn't present during the recording. That aside, they handled both cutscenes pretty well imo, with Sharena talking and not.

I keep rewatching the fuck out of this still. Hands down one of the best books (the best imo). If anything I wish they had made more Hel characters. Love Thrasir, Líf, Eir and Hel herself. Love them all. They even missed the chance of making a Hel design/alt for characters that died the previous book. Surtr, Fjrom's big sis, etc. all back but serving Hel with different looks to boot. Would've been cool as hell. Edit: In terms of story, writing, etc. could've been better. IS could've done much more between maps. Character design, theme, etc. was all great.

Hmm, not bad. Not spectacular compared to some other FE games but not bad. Kudos to the voice actors for their performances, and I will say that that chant by Veronica as she helps you land the finishing shot was epic as hell. I sincerely hope she gets a normal unit soon. We've gotten a Brave version (which is an interesting take on her character to boot), we've gotten a Spring version, and we effectively have what could be called a Fallen Veronica. Come on, IS!

You didn't pay atention to the story it seems... when Alfonse defeats Hel, Veronica does the incantation stuff bringing out and buffing the summoner's gun from Líf world (Líf had it as a memento) then the summoner (we) uses it to destroy Hel completely (so she couldn't revive obviously considering she is death herself xd)

Oh and before I forget, the gun is the tool to summon heroes so technically you are already fighting... being the heroes you summon your bullets... 🤣🤣🤣

Going back to this after the recent TT… It makes more sense why they showed Eir in a flowery garden in the opening cutscene. I’m guessing the dreams Eir claimed to have was also of the life realm. Also explains why Eir doesn’t die after being killed so many times and doesn’t become Hel’s puppet after being killed, as she was the princess of life or something. I’m looking forward to seeing part 2

Now that Summoner is playeable, it makes sense that he can defeat hell with Breidablik, because he is a Colorless mage and Hel's weapon doesn't activate against tomes
