I have been a physician taking care of the active and retired US soldiers for almost 10 years.. They got good benefits but they have to exchange with lots of risks to death and lots of stresses. PTSD and injuries from wars and duties. Not as good as you thought. The reporter should present in pros and cons way. Not every soldiers are lucky to have good life. Lots of discrimination. It’s not as easy as the reporter presented. As a physician, lots of hard work to take care of these retired soldiers due to many medical problems after wars. Correctional officer has to risk with dangerous prisoners. Some soldiers got shot or explosion or IED and had spinal cord injury could not walk and paralysis, and lost limbs. It’s not as easy as you thought. That’s why US military has lots of opening for foreigners to become US military and US police because American people don’t want to do this job. I took care lots of soldiers who suffer after war and got medical discharge befure they could get honorable discharge. I have met young guys lost their legs and have to wear artificial legs at age just 20 years old suffering with PTSD to see if it would be worth with pension/retirement/VA disability.

While I appreciate your experience as a physician caring for active and retired soldiers, it's important to clarify that discrimination exists in all professions, including healthcare. The real issue lies in how these behaviors are addressed. Military personnel face numerous challenges, including PTSD and injury, but recognizing the broader context of discrimination is crucial. A balanced presentation of both the benefits and challenges faced by soldiers will help foster a deeper understanding and drive meaningful discussions. Your insights are valuable, yet approaching the subject with a well-rounded perspective is essential for constructive dialogue.

My point is this Chanel always only focuses on how much Thai people in the USA make and she turned to be numbers of Thai baht as the way to attract more people to watch her Chanel but the reporter should present in more reality, more ethical way, and more constructive way, re: the pros and cons how Thai people who would be interested in US military career would have to face. There is discrimination in any careers. However, there is more discrimination when foreigners with accents working in bureaucratic system and that happens more frequently in military system.
