When in 2022 a video has no dislikes it means that the man is a genius. Seen him two times live....unforgettable nights both of them.

Phil Collins is such a genius, he is talented and brilliant. He certainly has the best voice ever. Absolutely agree with him that Disney movies are timeless. I just always wished that he would keep working with Disney, producing songs for them. For, Disney made the right choice of letting him sing these songs, instead of actors.

I’ve long wondered if the Tarzan project was like Phil’s response to Peter Gabriel’s whole post Genesis, quasi-African, new world tribal aesthetic. Just interesting

Cette homme est une légende vraiment de part ses musiques met aussi son esprit de partage, car pour ma part c'est le seul artistes qui parle pleins de langues différentes autant dans la vraie vie que dans ses musiques

What if Collins had written the soundtrack for Lion King, instead of Elton John? He clearly could have done it.

Ok… I love Phil's work over the decades AS MUCH AS ANYONE… but lip sync'd gigs like this are a turnoff. This is a studio recording with most (if not all) of the background vocal parts being Phil's own voice. Phil did a nice job on this piece… why we need a fake "live" performance video I don't understand. As for the interview sections of this video, it's always interesting to me to hear insights into Phil's motivations and sources of inspiration.

Jennifer - I understand you have no way to know this, but I'm a life-long musician. I'm well aware of the challenges of TV production and the concerns of musical artists re televised musical performances. That doesn't change anything for me. It's fake, phony, and wholly unbelievable when done. Play live or just opt to run the music video for the viewers of the program. If there's an actual studio audience, the decision to go with a lip-sync'd performance is even worse.

Which one you preferring? the super bowl part?
@Robert444444447 жыл бұрын
"super bowl part"? are you referring to the section of the vid starting @ 22:18 ??? From the very beginning of that clip, listen to Phil's vocal, can you not hear the harmony present in his own voice? canned. I don't prefer ANY staged, playing along with studio recordings performances. I've seen Phil in concert 9 times starting in '78… it was all live… as it should be.

I think this is true live. If you listen to 10:25 he cuts that phrase perfectly in time with audio and later in 10:32 his voice gives up a little bit. I think this is true live singing
