You can't ask more than the musicians who played with Phil in this occasion. Vinnie Colaiuta on drums, David Fosters on piano, and Nathan East on bass and background vocals

This doesn’t sound like Phil’s band so it seems slightly off. Phil is WAY too sloppily dressed. In the 80s he always was sharply dressed in fantastic suits. I understand when we age we get more casual, but this doesn’t look like the Phil who keeps the immaculate closet and puts tissues between his clothes when packing. I wonder if the third divorce affected how he dresses. He always had a well crafted image. I’m not liking what I see, but he’s my fav singer so I’ll live with it. I saw him on a Dutch show the other day and he was dressed exactly like this. The host really razzed him about crawling out of bed and coming on TV. I would have been totally embarrassed but Phil didn’t care. Sorry to rag on his appearance but how you dress does reflect your inner life. Sorry to see him this way.

So many Genesis concerts have Phil as their front man wearing a grey t-shirt, sweatpants and wristbands. One concert at the end, during the 2nd half of In The Cage, he came out with no shirt on and remained that way for the rest of the show. The Both Sides tour he wore a very simple outfit. His most popular album is title "No Jacket Required' for Pete's sake. If you can't handle watching him perform as he feels comfortable then just stick to audio.

In reply to the person that was in criticism of this performance, it's true as we age life affects all of us in many different ways. I'm 70 now myself and can't always be at the "top of the game". Like it or not sometimes the road-of-life takes us on a ride unforeseen and "starting over" is a difficult journey to navigate through due to many factors along the.way. We all, including Phil must find our way through this maze and hold on to the belief that our strength will prevail in an enduring existence of overcoming that which would bind us from moving on. Providence my dear friends, Providence.

You are correct. This was a benefit show where fill did a casual set of a few of his hits. The band was top notch studio players with just a few nights rehearsals which also included other artists. God bless Phil.
