My husband left when my son was 3 wks old in 1990. I became strong. My son and I danced to this song when he was a toddler then when he was 26 and got married, I was talking to family and all of a sudden this song came on and I looked to the dance floor, and my son stood there with his arm reached out to me. Today my son was born and then passed at 3 days old of hypo left plastic heart syndrome in 2001. I call this my 2nd daughter's song. It was thought she would not survive after she was born. Plagued with different problems, but against all odds she survived. And I'll look at her in her crib and say to her, "for one so small, you seem so strong". And that became her song whenever she was sad or she cried. Her sisters refer to it as Joelle's song. I even stole a CD of his from my mom and burned it out listening to it so much. I remember I was so excited when I found he was singing in Tarzan and I was only 9. Once again, A track written by the Legendary Phil Collins in such an iconic film and soundtrack in my childhood, that applies to me deeply, I literally can't describe what this song means to me, and the soundtrack in general, as I couldn't even be able to fit it all in this box. How time flies though. As a kid, I always looked at this song as an inspiration after all I've been through, and it has always helped me out, with all the difficult paths I had to cross on my own, without my family, but knowing they're in my heart.
