My mom had recently died and I had an experience that was leading me in that direction but this podcast helped with my understanding of what was happening a great deal. Agreed, I have met several older, very passionate born-agains. This whole thing about "the older you are, the less you'll listen" sounds like a doctrine of demons tbh. My church has been praying for 6 pastors in Ukraine. Several Sundays ago we phoned one of them during our church service and prayed for him and the other pastors. When asked about staying in his city, he simply stated the shepherd belongs with his flock.

So sad to hear that you don't even try to talk to those of us over 40. We have seen our lives and world turned upside down, our beliefs belittled, challenged and rejected. If anyone needs spiritual guidance it is older folks. I am 69 and have always believed in God and prayed for guidance although many times I have tried to lead Him. Someone told me "if God is your copilot you might need to move over." I don't doubt God but have need of a church and that is the hard part because there are so many formed by people who are so fallible. Please seriously rethink older folks.
