My Dad would have identified with Kenny easily. He grew up broke, eating very little of the same cheep foods over and over again and had 7 siblings close in age. He did what Kenny did (although not reaching the financial heights) and rose above it all suceeding and making sure his loved ones were provided for.

This was a Kenny Rogers song that I was not very familiar with myself. The song is "They Don't Make Them Like They Used To" from an album by the same title. The album was released on October 23, 1986, just shortly after this show aired. Apparently it was the introduction of the song/album prior to its release.

Well Kenny and Marianne divorced in 1993, and she got some money. An estimated $60 million.
@lindasmith33913 жыл бұрын
Kenny made a mistake and cheated on her. Kenny said she deserved the money, because when they met he was broke and she helped paid his child support.
@patrickdoherty62112 жыл бұрын
@@lindasmith3391 yeah that's worth 60 million alright. Typical woman response
@lisadee.Күн бұрын
For accurate content (even though this is many year's old) Kenny never cheated on Marianne. In her head he did, because Marianne, as beautiful as she was on the outer being, was very, very insecure. And in this microscopic entertainment Industry, if the woman/wife doesn't have her crap together, and own assurance and emotional stability, you will be doomed in that relationship. Sadly Marianne could never get past the touring, interviews, and other females being around Kenny. And further, a man/husband, should never be the all and all and the handler of that woman's inner being. If the maturity isn't there to know the man, and trust the man, nothing will survive. I know Kenny always took the majority of the responsibility of the failed relationships, but it's a great reminder that it always takes two to make it work, or fail. You both have to flow in the same direction, otherwise it's aimless. The measuring stick isn't in the failures, but in how the person grows in the experience. And Kenny became the better version of himself because of the hell he went through! I appreciated him for that!! The "Mistress" between them was always his career and ambition. Did Marianne "deserve" all that he lost in the divorce? Probably not. What she loaned him, or gave him, never exceeded his payout to her. Kenneth Ray was light and honesty; the real deal. He always had purity of heart; never a selfish part in him. I miss him every day. So grateful I encountered this gorgeous man. I know he's singing with the angels in Heaven, unto Our Lord and Savior 🙏♥️ 💋

He was a different person after surgery I also think that they get that time his health went at the very same time I really do I’d give anything if I knew who that doctor was and then how do you take somebody that is so handsome and you’re supposed to be number one in your field and you turn them in to Sunday that’s Harley even noticeable

I only started he stayed married to Mary and then he wouldn’t have that surgery there’s been no need for it him the only thing I thought about his work is when he would gain an enormous amount of weight and then it would show up on his face like all of us

Only in his looks, his personality was the same. Although when you look at his face it didn’t seem like it was him. But he was still that same sweet guy. That we all knew and loved. He was a good looking man. And had a good voice, especially his love songs. Rest peacefully, Kenny ❤️✝️
